I don’t have a picture of it, but I have a sniper rifle that can rack up 8000-11,000 damage on a critical hit and then adds 3000-4000 burn DOT on top of that.

It’s interesting how a good elemental effect can make a seemingly lesser weapon utterly superior to non-elemental guns that have much higher damage stats.

Damn I just got a green version of that and I thought I was the lucky one. (only about 500 damage sadly). I’m loving corrosive mirvs and bouncing betties, they are room clearers.

(another x2 bullet)
What would elevate an average at best machine gun with a low firing rate to usable? Regenerating each shot before it hits the target and reloading nearly instantly will do just fine.

heh, you guys and your little toys. ;)

My rocket launcher does 1500 and my revolver does 750 listed ;)

Or you could made other quests and advance in the game, and come back later 2 levels more powerful :P.

And yeah, i know skags have a weak spot for massive damage in the mouth.

I suppose that only happened for a few minutes after the European unlocking. Right now:

Yeah, I did go back and nail that mission when I went back for a “clean up” run to finish off quests I’d left behind. A few levels and better weapons make all the difference.

I haven’t seen any insanely effective weapons yet and I’ve cycled through my collection a couple times now as I find better salvage.

The nicest is a purple bladed repeater that does +200% melee damage and a 2.0 or so scope. Three or four bad shots will kill any normal foe and crits/headshots drop almost anything in one. Very nice hunter weapon for me since I specialize in melee.

I find myself happily clearing inventory though. I don’t hoard weapons like I used to. If I see something interesting I’ll try it out but often what I’ve already got is better even if the new toy seems very good on paper.

I had this blue Hunter’s Shotgun which was scoped, did crazy damage in a tight pattern, and had a high accuracy but the slow reload made it useless in close quarters and at medium range I was better off with even my new repeater than it. So it went away.

I do seem to collect and hang onto a variety of class and grenade mods for different situations. Got some great purple class mods but, sadly, they mainly rock in teams and I’ve yet to run into anyone I know playing on PSN. Pickup games with strangers just don’t appeal to me.

Haven’t seen any orange drops at all even at level 23. Could it be they only drop for teams?

I cracked up at “Hallelujah” being the red text on Adree’s gun. Fantastic.

I believe 360 version just got patched.

• Fixed a bug which caused players and other things in the world to appear incorrectly on clients in networked games
• fixed a bug in which players gibbed in arena combat disappeared
• fixed a bug which caused the dollars counter to spin continuously
• fixed a bug that caused the digger elevator to be unusable after completing the Find Tannis mission
• Weapon mapping to the D-pad should no longer reverse left and right
• various localization and other text and tooltip corrections
• The introductory quests with CL4P-TP should now always progress properly all the time
• Lilith’s Phase Strike ability now works as intended
• Load times have been improved

So.

I beat the game at about level 37…now what? I have old quests to wrap up, but 13 levels of grinding goodness to hit the cap?

New game +. There should be a second playthrough option where everything is much much tougher.

Good, that should make for lots of DLC

It’s hard to break the habit of pouring bullets into a target until they are dead, but in the interest of conserving ammo, I’ve been trying to cease firing when I get a target’s health low enough that I know that the DoT will carry him over. Of course my group usually continues to fire away, and I have to say “Guys, he’s dead already. Move along.”

Yeah, I caught it here:

Is it called ‘New Game +’ on the PC version? It’s playthrough 2 on the 360. Something to note… apparantly the Claptraps only give you the Backpack SDU in Playthrough 1. If you rescuse them in Playthrough 2, they just give you some nice items.

Pretty sure that means it’s down to get the friction on.

LINCOLN BLACKWOOD PICTURE

What if you miss one on playthrough 1? Anyone know?

Ok, if the description of the Patton is accurate it’s pretty awesome.
May God have mercy upon my enemies because I won’t - Ignores shields, No reload, Infinite ammo, A pistol from a middle of nowhere quest.

Now if they’d just figure out what “It’s a painful thing” on the Blister means.

The wiki description for the Patton is wrong. I have that weapon and tested it, and it absolutely does not have No Reload and Infinite Ammo. I’m not sure if it ignores shields or not because I alreay have the Hunter talent that ignores shields with all weapons.

Got 2 regenerating ammo guns last night, including a much much better version of the smg I linked earlier. All vendor bought while I was resetting a chest.

Sure they aren’t anything special other than reload/infinite ammo but considering how fast you can chew through both of these ammo types it’ll be worth keeping them just to have supplies in the field.
