My sniper build;

Its more of a Solo Mordecai; when I go into longer team games, I usually get rid of the Melee and add it to the Shield ignoring and Killer
As far as Elemental hierarchy is concerned; i didn’t find my x4 Sniper Rifle Volcano until after Old Haven. I have found lots of elemental weapons of all types all over throughout the entire game.
Then there are my favorites, the orange and dark orange weapons that literally proc their element with every shot. The volcano series of sniper rifles, for example, some of the most lethal weapons in the game - particularly in the hands of a hunter with trespass.

Has anyone found a keep in this game?

I’d like to see the exact numbers of the volcano proc, it seems to do a massive hit on the target and a smaller aoe slightly around it, powerful enough that I’m still using a level 25 one with only 227 base damage vs every other sniper rifle I’ve picked up, some with almost twice the base damage.
Corrosive is great (especially on my turret) because doing damage while something is dotted with it does extra damage, the actual dot ticks slower than incendiary though. Hellfire smgs apply a much stronger dot that lasts even longer from what I’ve gathered.
Man, I loved the film Equilibrium, even though it’s pretty obvious they finished it in a rush. Awesome job by Christian Bale.
Whoever complained earlier in the thread about the missions not auto-balancing, I’m SOOOOOO with you. I wish the story missions at least would try to stay at your level (I don’t mind kicking ass from time to time in the side missions). I played several of the last missions ignoring and running past enemies half the time because there was nothing they could do about me. My strategy for the lead up to the last fight was mostly “run straight at the enemies and shoot.”
Other than that I loved the game. Hopefully the new game + makes it somewhat challenging again.
Fighting SuperBad varieties of enemies is pretty fun, not to mention the addtional names for the other critters.
Of course you don’t run into those until you’ve finished playthrough 2.
There’s more after playthrough 2??
Not another full playthrough (story line etc), but, you get most all 50-52 level enemies with new names and such.

I’m a week behind but I just unlocked the Mine on my main box, loving this game, love using Mordecai a lotttttt more than roland. The bird rocks!
I just finished it yesterday and promptly uninstalled, because i don’t see myself playing it again, after 25 hours of shooting and looting, i am burnt from that for a few months.
I killed the last boss in… 12 seconds, just firing at it in the face, without any need of moving to evade attacks or whatever. Balance problems, as i have said before.
BTW, do people really play again the new game+, the second playthrough, with the same character? In the hipothetical case where i would play the game again, i would play with a new class, just for the sake of variety and play something a bit different, instead of continue with my 36 level hunter.

How would that work? As I understand it, new game+ has to be the same character because it’s level 36+ or whatever (no, haven’t got there yet). Surely a new character wouldn’t have a hope in hell?
No i mean, if i was to play again, i would play again a normal new game, with another characer, instead of playing another game with the same character, even if he has a higher level game with superior loot.
But i know there are people who plays the same character more and more…

Right, but it’s like Diablo’s higher difficulty modes - you’re up against tougher enemies and getting towards the end of your skill tree.
I’d just like to third the feelings about singleplayer. I took a day off work to play singleplayer because I was so addicted to it, but I think that’s just because everything ahead is new, and guns are revealing new abilities all the time. I can’t imagine that’ll be true on the second play through, although a different character will alleviate that a bit I guess.
I’ve tried co-op briefly after literally an hour or three trying to get the bloody thing to work, and it’s fun. A little laggy perhaps, but the experience is much better shared.
On a different note, does anyone else absolutely love the title music?

I’d like to play more of this co-op if possible. Yet, Dragon Age sits on the shelf, asking me for a massive gaming session this weekend. . .
Can’t remember the last time I actually looked up a band because of a game.
It sounds like the White Stripes but I haven’t bothered to confirm.

Really? Sounds nothing like the White Stripes to me.
A quick Google reveals the band to be Cage the Elephant.
Well, to be more specific, the singer sounds exactly like Jack White to me. The music itself was much more multi-layered than their stuff. Sounded more like something they might produce if they had 2 or 3 more members.
