Yeah he’s right. Zooming increases accuracy on shotguns, and I can sort of see how scoping a shotgun would be annoying beyond around x1.0
Shotguns that fire rockets. Spread pattern no longer a problem :D

Doesn’t bother me, in fact I love 'em, and wouldn’t want a shotgun without a scope. The increased accuracy is just too powerful to ignore.
While these can be fun, I’ve never really found myself using them.
Damage-wise, they’re way inferior to a true shotgun for close-in fighting. Long range, they’re inferior to a true rocket launcher.
The only time I could see them being useful is a Roland spec’ed for shotguns, but wants to get some rocket power.

Ah, and it’s simply Champion not DJ Champion which is what hosed up my searches!
Guess I missed that option, is that a download from somewhere?

I never find rockets to be all that powerful, incidentally. It’s fun using one of the late-game launchers that has a x4 elemental fire modifier and watching the mini-mushroom-cloud emanate from its explosion, but it’s not all that useful after you launch one rocket into a group of bad guys, who immediately scatter and make any subsequent launches pretty useless.
Google :)
sorry don’t have the link handy.
Does anyone have a level ~25 brick save file they can send me? I spent about 90 minutes today powerlevelling from 1 with friends and only got to level 16. Plus all the quests give me no reward as they’re marked as ineligible.
See above, just use the save game editor.

The configuration editor completely borked my game. The only settings I changed were to skip the intro movies and fix the weapon card fonts. I can get into the game (the intro movies are indeed skipped), but once in the game will accept no mouse or keyboard commands and I have to go to task manager to get out.
I am running the Steam version on Vista 64. May have to completely re-install.
edit: I was able to find the modified files and restore the backups. Game is working again. But I think I will not mess with the settings anymore!

Yeah, Naeblis, I hate you. That config tool ruined my game.

Just delete your config files.

If it works, could I still keep on hating?
Hate me. That will make you STRONGER!
Ok… sorry, i just saw it in the official forum and linked it, i didn’t even try it for myself.

According to the author of the config editor:
"Your keyboard not responding is a normal issue. Actually the utility needs the game to build the config files at least one time, which isn’t automatic. To solve your problem, you can either :
-
In the game, go to keyboard config and change one of your bindings, save your settings, then undo your modification if you want, save again, and quit. The config files are now correctly built and the utility should work fine now.
-
The utility backed up your config files. Go to “My Documents\My Games\Borderlands\WillowGame\Config” and you’ll find them."
I just tried going back to this game (only played to level 14 or so, then lost interest) and I’m now getting my ass handed to me as Lilith in Sledge’s camp. I know the game warned me it would be more difficult than anything before, but jeez - the badass guys here just tear me apart. And they all have explosive or shock weapons which kill me super quickly if I’m not constantly retreating back into cover. Not to mention that their shields recharge almost instantly.
Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? My equipment is a mix of blue and green stuff roughly equal to my level.
For me, this was the result of putting the BINDINGs in the wrong section. I saw a number of guides that said to put those under [WillowGame.WillowPlayerInput]. This always caused the inability to get any kind of input once the game engine loaded, although I had use of the mouse during the various loading screens. I had to move mine to [Engine.PlayerInput] in order to get them (and anything else) to work. This was Vista x64 and Steam.

Check your quest log. Try and always do quests with ‘normal’ difficulty. Don’t try anything harder. Go back and find some side quests to boost up your level, if you’re too low.

You’re doing something wrong. Respec heavily into Spark and get a high-fire-rate incendiary SMG. Watch badasses burn like torches while you LAUGH, and LAUGH, and LAUGH. Also recommend Silent Resolve – phasewalk your way up to a brute, explode in his face (do you have a phasewalk artifact yet?), blast the shit out of him and run like fuck before your Silent Resolve wears off. Or, pull some aggro until you start to die and then phasewalk back to a nice hidey hole.
Seriously, you still have to do some onion peeling (Sirens can’t go toe-to-toe with much of anyone), but you have the ultimate gun-and-run power at your fingertips. ABUSE IT HEAVILY!
(I loves me some Siren – just made level 32 with mine, and a level 3 shock artifact is truly a thing of beauty…)
Edit: And yeah, if you’re tackling a quest rated harder than Normal, your skull is a melon and you’re smashing it into a brick wall topped with broken glass.
