Ghost Recon Wildlands - Ghosts say no to drugs

Dude, we are getting slaughtered out here!

You need to level up the rebels and your own toughness before taking on the tough missions.

What you need are some sexual tyrannosauruses.

What’s the matter, the CIA got you pushing too many pencils?

I enjoy the heck out of this game. I still play a few missions every couple of weeks. But, as indicated by your experience, I’m not expecting much from this Predator DLC. It looks cool in the promo, but the Halloween DLC looked neat as well, and it was utterly bland.

Just beat him. It’s significantly easier solo. I think he may scale up with more players, as it was night and day beating him. Loved the atmosphere and how he fought.

Also, your AI teammates help a lot with revives and distraction.

Well, to be fair, Arnie only managed to beat him solo, too.

Fake health, lol.

Got them leveled all the way up. And it’s not an issue of me dying it’s fighting off bad guys from 4 directions, all shooting at the generator AND two helicopters, either of which can kill the generator in about 5 seconds.

Hmm. I found those missions very tough at the beginning but they became a lot more manageable. Not sure what in particular changed. It could be that some areas are just harder to defend than others perhaps.

To take out choppers use the M-14 (I think they call it the EMR or something). It’s a full auto snioer rifle… Well actually a battle rifle, but the point is it does massive damage. Takes out a chopper in one clip, even the Cobras.

I actually have a sniper rifle that can take down a chopper in one shot - I worked hard to get that! But the problem tends to be a hectic fight with groups coming from all sides hitting the generator (and it doesn’t take many hits to blow it up) and then I hear the choppers and by the time I find them and can get in position to shoot them the generator is blown up.

I played one of these missions for hours. I tried surrounding the van with trucks, finding a jeep with a machine gun to use, putting mines in every approach, calling in the fully leveled up rebels. Couldn’t figure out how to put a cover over the van to protect it from the two choppers (coming from different directions, at the same time.) Called in my brother to help in co-op - he’s MUCH better at fast action shooters than I am (he blows through all the hardest levels in Destiny and Destiny 2 while I hide in a corner, LOL!)

I haven’t played in months, I may just jump back in now that I’ve had a break. All this PS4 FWIW.

Oh, another one that I haven’t been able to complete yet, rebel leader giving the speech in the village, then when he’s done bad guys come flying up on all sides of the village shooting at him. Very hard to protect him from all sides of the village.

Right, I had to give up on that speech guy for a while too. I just did my final generator mission though and it was actually pretty painless. Not sure why specifically. My twitch skills are negligible :) Choppers go down with half a magazine, vehicles with one under-barrel grenade. It’s actually harder IMO when they get out of vehicles and you have multiple targets and shooters. My squad and both the summonable rebels are fully upgraded, as am I. But given it’s a vast world with about 20 buchons to harass, there were always other options when it got too tough in one place for me.

I think my favourite thing to do in this game though is stealing planes and trying to land them on some little airstrip in the mountains for the rebels…

LOL I’d forgotten about trying to land planes! I’ve flown every flight sim known to man, and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to fly the planes in this game! It feels like the response to my controller is a random number generator!

They are a little strange :) More fun than the helicopters which just slide in whatever direction you want, since they patched out the original disastrous controls!

I agree with you. Why of why do game teams put fucking escort missions or static escort missions int his games? They suck. No exceptions. See also timers.

Anway fwiw I just ignore these generator missions, not because they are that hard for me, I just find them irritating. You do not need to do them to complete the game so I dont.

I don’t really know what this Tier One mode is but it’s kicking my ass. I’d become blase about bringing the rebels along to engagements but that’ll be changing :/

A ridiculously beautiful 72 hours in Bolubia. I maxed out all the skill trees to have something to do post main story. I’m only avoiding the DLC so as not to become Ubi’d out before FC5. Time to move on :)

Just picked this up on sale.

Installed on SSD, running on a 1080 Ti and it lags/choppy even on 144hz Gsync monitor right from the menus. Confirmed monitor is at 144hz and tried vsync/etc but it feels like one of those games where the game defaults to 24hz by mistake.

Has anyone run into this and know how to fix it?

I think I got 45 ish usually? 1070 and 3440 x 1440, also SSD. Not that I’m sensitive to framerate but I didn’t notice anything odd.
