You know what you like, that’s enough.
Looking forward to checking out the trailer, thanks for providing the link.
It looks pretty cheesey :(
Some of it looks pretty good and I guess it all depends on how the Ghost Rider looks. But those vampires he has to fight… and Peter Fonda with big hair… I dunno
I keep getting a prompt to enter some kind of password… any way around that?
Hm. The link gives “page cannot be displayed” error for me when I go to watch the trailer.
Using Mozilla I get no password and it finds the page.
Update: The trailer was a leak prototype of the comic con teaser. The real trailer will be out soon.
They are showing the rider now:

Hmm. I’m on the fence about how that looks. I mean, I guess it looks as good as it could, but I think the GR character is something that is conveyed much better in comic form than CGI. Also, I don’t care for Nicholas Cage as GR. Not who I think of when I think about the character.
Nicholas Cage was born to place Johnny Blaze. End of story.
As for the Rider… well… Yeah it looks like CGI but I haven’t a clue how else you could do it and look like the character.
If you take a skull, pour lighter fluid on and and set it a blaze, it looks nothing like the rider in the comics. Trust me, I’ve tried.
Some people said the same thing when he was cast for Superman. <shrug>
Cage was born to play the guy in Leaving Last Vegas.
He sure isn’t the Johnny Blaze I knew and loved. But I’ll give him a chance.
What I really want to know is, when the hell are they gonna make ROM?
Some people said the same thing when he was cast for Superman. <shrug>[/quote]
No one, I mean no one said that. Go search usenet archives. Even at the time it was annouced it was viewed as a bad choice.
Probably never but Dreamworks quietly picked up the rights to Gi Joe, Transformers and Rom back in 2003
I was thinking specifically of a friend, so perhaps that should have read “Some person said the same thing when he was cast as Superman.”
It should be noted this friend also really liked Snake Eyes, which I found so utterly forgettable I think it may have actually destroyed brain cells.
Keifer Sutherland.
The only thing I can remember about Snake Eyes that aside from an awesome opening tracking shot, it had nothing worth remembering.
Carla Gugino, well acutally I remember a lot more but Carla is the first thing that springs to mind.
And that the awesome opening shot was nearly ruined by Nic Cage’s character, simply the most annoying person imaginable.
HAHAHAHA HEY BUDDY HEY SAL CLICKY GUN HANDS AT YOU HEY GINA SNARL I’M LIKE A TIGER WOOWOOWOO BUDDY BUD I HEHEHEH I GOTCHA MAN DOWN LOW TOO SLOW and so on, through the entire fucking shot.
Now, the shot from Goodfellas ruled, since it was used better as a storytelling device.
America, America is killing its youth.
What’s up with the pointy things?
I dunno, but it don’t look good…
Anyone actually read any 70s Ghost Rider lately? I picked up the Essential collection last month and wow, it has to be the worst dreck that Marvel published in the entire Bronze Age. Incredibly awful, cheesy stories, topped when Jesus actually shows up and saves Johnny from Satan. Twice. While giving goofball hippie sermons about peace and love.
