So I just went to the alcohol shelf in our pantry, and found stocks are very, very low. I’m down to Famous Grouse, a bit of Wild Turkey rye, some cheap vanilla vodka, and white creme de cacao. I’m not feeling particularly whiskey tonight, so… chocolate martinis it is!

2 parts vodka, 1 part creme de cacao – shake with ice, strain, and drink. Drop a hershey’s kiss or something in it in lieu of an olive if you want to get all fancy.

(Yes, I know that’s not really a martini, but that’s what most places call it anyway)

Feel free to use either regular spiced or Parrot Bay Coconut in either of those, it’s utterly delicious.

Southern Comfort and Lime cordial (half and half) shaken over ice and served as shots.

Nutella martinis.

Hazelnut liqueur, creme de cacao or Godiva chocolate liqueur, vodka. I can’t remember the proportions other than “get tipsy and pour liberally into a shaker.” Which is also the reason I will never be able to drink these ever again. :(

I used to like the Amaretto Sours. However, I would now need a pitcher to get drunk and the sweet would get me sick first.

Ok, does it make me a girl if I drink Southern Comfortband Lime in a tumbler oon the rocks?

A South African favourite is called a Spingbokkie. 1/2 Peppermint liquer, 1/2 Cape Velvet or Amarula in a shot glass.

I’ve never heard of either of those until now, Brendan. I wonder if they can be purchased in the USA.

They are cream based liquers. You could probably substitute Bailey’s irish cream or something.

Apple pie martini. Its like an apple martini except you use vanilla vodka, and add some cinnamon too.

Either midori sours or something with a chunk of fruit in it. Mmmmm.

Nuts and Berries - Chambord and Franjelico. Half and half is optional.
Colorado Bulldog - White Russian with a splash of cola.

not a girl drink, but lowers the inhibitions of any girl to drink it.

Well, thats also illegal/amoral. Getting drunk alongside the girl isn’t nearly as bad.

I still have a bottle of Amarula, bur I’ve never seen it outside South Africa.
It’s remiscent of Baileys, but not the same. Perhaps you can get it in a large specialist liquer store.

And yes, just drinking Southern Comfort will make you a girl.
