GOG.com is having an RPG Sale and as part of that they are giving away Eschalon : Book I for FREE.
Eschalon is a nice little Indie RPG with an old-school feel. Single player, single character, isometric view, it kind of feels like a slightly more modern take on the old Ultima games. I played through it a couple of years back, and was impressed with the story/writing and the character development. I enjoyed it quite a bit, and would certainly recommend Book I for ZERO dollars, and the follow-ups on sale ($6.38 combined) as well.
I agree that Eschalon is a pretty good game. I had a good enough time playing it. When compared to all the other games one could play instead I’m not sure how well it can compete for your time, but for $0 why not at least check it out for an hour or so.
