Due to a small shipping snafu, TEN entire 1080FTW GTX cards were accidentally shipped out to Newegg on Friday, which then sold and shipped out to customers that same day. Folks on the EVGA forums erupted in the white hot rage only the truly entitled can muster, because their direct-from-EVGA orders hadn’t shipped yet, but here was a group of ten assholes (never mind that said assholes have been probably waiting to pre-order the card to the point where they were using web trackers to alert them when the card became available, I mean c’mon guys, we all just like new video cards!) that were getting their orders shipped right then and there! Oh, the audacity.

Anyway, those of us with an FTW on pre-order were urged to e-mail a specific address in order to get a free copy of Grey Goo for Steam. This game looked pretty cool, but I wasn’t really bothered about some 10 lucky bastards getting an FTW a few days early (I’ll have mine next week, assuming I got in that first wave, as it is) so I actually e-mailed that address and told them I didn’t believe this was a big deal, they could not worry about giving me a code, and thanked them for working on the weekend and addressing… er, this.

They just wrote me back and had some kind words in return, but insisted on giving me this key. EVGA really is the best, in my experience. So, I thought I would instead of cashing it in, offer it on this thread in case anyone out there was super excited to get a copy of Grey Goo - just PM me. The requirements are that you had to read this far. And have 25 posts, let’s say.
