Hey Turin, I’ve always been curious about the Der Schulde thing. You’re A Spaniard, right, or do you just live in Spain? As a non-native German speaker, the nearest I can make out, that appositive would mean “the guilty one” because saying “Er ist schuld” means “he’s to blame/guilty.”
So what’s up with that?
I might have the qt3-memes mixed, but I think it was related to some typo in the name of a Demigod thread.
Check out the OP in this thread:
That title, along with the Diablo 3 one, can never change. I’d probably leave the forums if they were modified/corrected.
Man you have good memory, I had forgotten in what specific thread was.
I will say this: I have never mistyped that word again.
but I mistyped many others!
Thanks guys, for the explanation. So the “Der” part was because someone figured out it was a German word? (the noun meaning “fault” by the way is Schuld and is of feminine gender, thus “die Schuld”)
That’s because given how I had written the word, it almost sounded German, and at that point people knew that I wasn’t American/British but they didn’t know I’m a Spaniard. So basically Tom supposed I was German. I think.Or maybe he knew I wasn’t German but it was funny that way, which is more important!
Weren’t you using your real name then as well?

That’s correct, except for the typo. Every noun has a gender. “der / die / das” is “the” in male / female / neutral form.
“The guilty one” would be “der / die Schuldige” (male / female **). “die Schuld” has a blame / guilty context, “die Schulden” means “(financial) debt”. Declinations of both terms overlap or are very similar, so the context decides.
** This is a special case. You’re blaming a specific person and the gender follows.
I have never used my real name. Though I had another alias, Naeblis (reference to Wheel of Time) instead of Turin Turambar (reference to Silmarillion)
edit: and now that we are closely examining myself, I will reveal the origin of the avatar: it’s supposed to be an Asha’man, from WoT, the art was from the WoT RPG book, which I never played, but I liked that drawing. All pretty nerdy, I admit.
Aha. I just seemed to remember you using a different name back then.

Turin Turambar (reference to Silmarillion)[/quote]
I always thought it was a reference to the city in Italy.
I’ve got 3 items looking for a good home:

They will need to be gifted via steam, since they’re sitting in my ‘inventory’. I think that means you’ll have to friend my steam account (tciecka).
I’ve got the following keys available if anyone didn’t get the Indie Legends 4 Bundle
Skullgirls - Gone
Sir, You Are Being Hunted. - Gone

Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY edition (no GWFL to deal with)<–taken (I don’t know how to do the clever “strike” thing.
FEAR 2: Project Origin
Please PM and be a non-drive-by Qt3 community member. I posted about these on ArsTechnica a couple of days ago but no one seems interested, so…
It looks like I have some humble bundle odds & ends to give away also. PM if interested.
