I got an e-mail for the relaunch and it teases that there are six more Hasbro games to come, with Baldur’s Gate being the first. What might the other six be? Baldur’s Gate 2 seems a given. What about the remaining five?

Hmmm. Interesting. Civ2? Even with the reduced diplomacy options, it would be interesting to go back to Civ2. I haven’t played Civ2 since Civ 3 came out. It would be a nice nostalgia trip to play on the Earth map with historical starting locations and build lots and lots of caravans to speed up my wonders. I miss that.

I never tried Test of Time. I never liked playing scenarios in any of the Civ games, since I like starting from scratch. I hate that most scenarios drop you into a situation where you have so many cities and units to take care of. But I heard Test of Time had some interesting scenarios where you could start from scratch and build up, just like a base game of Civ2.

I know it’s out of beta so that must mean I’m missing something: when perusing the screen shots on the site, how does one leave the slideshow short of closing the browser? It’s been bothering me that I can’t seem to figure that out for the last few days.

Yeah, it’s a bug in IE. You don’t need to close the browser, though. Just right-click outside the screenshot and choose Back from the pop-up menu.

Very odd to not optimize for IE though. It’s still the most popular browser out there, I would assume. I’ve switched to Firefox, but only about a year ago or so.
