I’m just saying that for me, personally, given a choice between the platform that lets me play anywhere and the platform that requires me to sit at my desk, all things being equal I want the on I can have in my pocket.

Huh, what an odd release. I loved, loved, loved SR when it came out (had it imported and everything, but SR2 trumps it on nearly every level. I’d like to think that, someday, there will be an SR3. SR2 sold pretty well IIRC.

Painkiller is fantastic, totally worth having at that price. I snagged Panzer Elite (one of my favorite tank sims) and Aquanox 2 (I’m a completist).

Neighbors from Hell was ok, I remember playing the demo to it awhile ago but never bought the full game, seemed like an ok puzzle game.

I’ve heard people talk about the spellforce series but I’ve never played them so I can’t comment more on them.

The Spellforce platinum pack is worth a look , I’ve only played up to the second expansion but it was a pretty fun hybrid of small party rpg and basic rts .
The ai continually sends troops at you with no tactics but there are objectives to complete in each map while you fight them off .
I think there’s a demo so might be worth trying first , it’s been a while since I’ve played the game .

Nearly forgot , check out if there’s any security on the demo , I think this was a starforce game .

The Spellforce games are great. Really fun RPG/RTS hybrid with a lot of content and character. Worth the price for the lengthy campaigns alone. :)

To offer an alternate point of view: Painkiller is an overrated pile of pap from the Serious Sam school of shooters which try to be “old school” but forget that Doom had great map design while they have tedious battle arenas.

I think they’re just trying to be “fun games” and in that they succeed, I feel. To each their own though. :)
