Now that you mention all of those I am remined why I should not type out quick replys while at the same time ducking from the boss so I can quickly order BG2 so my addiction to gog stuff is fullfilled. Mea Culpa. You are of course right when it comes to all these games. The glory of BG2 made me not see anything else.

BI Stuff has always been my favorites RPG wise. Only other games that came close where Ultima Underworld, Ultima VII and Daggerfall:Arena in quantitiy of time spent. And I am too young to remember anything before Ultima VII ;-) Weird as all my personal GoGs seem to be RPGs.

Do they even have access to EA/Origin/Lucasarts yet?

Plus the pool of rather crappy recent games seems to be endless.

If they had access to the full EA back catalog, the entire universe would know. That is the unquestioned mother load, for GOG. Alas, I doubt it will happen any time soon.

I would kill for Crusader on GOG.

That’s a start.

And probably about a hundred other games that will occur to me after I post this. But yeah–they’re basically done. ;)

Damn skippy, as well as many of the games on Ben’s list.

EA will never make available its games - they’ll release them through their own distribution method or not at all…ever.

There’s a lot of great stuff from the 80s and early 90s if GOG wants to go back that far though, which Ben summed up well.

This is a very rare time, my friend, wherein I sincerely hope you are wrong. ;)

I frequently checker whether NOLF 1 and/or 2 are available. I then check to see where they are in the vote count and both games are still sadly low. A tragedy I tells ya…

The sad thing? “Never” is probably not an unlikely outcome.

Note that the Close Combat games have (mostly) been remade by Matrix, e.g.:

The Dark Forces / Jedi Knight / Jedi Academy series would be good games to have on there.

Yeah those games were fun. Maybe a little more modern than what is typically available on GOG but still.

Ea’s games were on gametap for a number of years.

There’s a serious lack of Age of Empires and anything with “Sim” in its name, but otherwise, great list!

Also, GoG should go after Blizzard for Warcraft 1 and 2. I’d love to replay those RTS classics.

Aren’t we allowed to mention System Shock 2 here any more?

Because on GOG’s Planescape: Torment banner they took their time to mention that it’s the second most wanted game.

And because it’s true.

Yeah, and also the early C&C games. Like I said, I’ll likely think of a bunch of stuff I missed after posting. I’m sure there are a bunch more classic adventure games that would be good GoG fodder, too. Like, say, Riddle of Master Lu.

Also, GoG should go after Blizzard for Warcraft 1 and 2. I’d love to replay those RTS classics.

Yeah, and also the original Diablo, which is not available through the Blizzard store.

Reported.

Please remain where you are. Tri-Optimum shock troops will be arriving shortly.

I would be so all over this. Loved the first one but not the second.

But at this point all these great games are merely speculation right? I am just wondering, but I was under the impression that they only have very limited catalogues. Hence my impression of : They can stop now. because I am not aware that they have a huge publisher in the back with a lot of great games? Hopefully I am mistaken.
