Pardon the Interruption. Back to our regularly scheduled GoGing.
There was one space game that was better than Freespace 2, but I can’t remember the name right now.
That’s because it doesn’t exist, sorry.

Not sure if this is right place to ask, but can you guys recommend any good mods for it?
This is really all you need:

I remember so wanting Robinson’s Requiem back in the day when it was to come out for the Atari Jaguar CD. I have no idea why now.
Yeah, I saw it was an old console game originally. What’s up with that?
LOL, I remember this thread so well, I looked everywhere for this game when it first came out and was so disappointed I couldn’t find it…then the reviews started coming in…
I now can’t wait to try Empire of Magic just to see how awful it truly is. :-)

If it makes you feel better, that screenshot and the mention of HOMM had me ready to buy it too.
Think I played that on the AMiGA for what seems like 20 years ago or something? Survival on an island. Didn’t really like it back then, not sure it has aged well - unless its a totally new game?
Edit: Which it is not.
Cool feature for it though;
It’s so hardcore, you’ll die - a lot!
From what I remember it is a survival simulator, with so many vectors you have to pay attention to (constantly) or you’ll just die and die and die. But if you’re into that kind of things, it is probably fun, or challenging.
So, single player Dwarf Fortress without the mining?

did anyone pick up rayman2? I really liked the game on Dreamcast, and wouldn’t mind playing it again, but only if the game recognizes the 360 gamepad. I couldn’t find any info through gog.com or their forums.
edit: oh, this sounds unfortunate
As far as the controls go, you can’t change them. With the keyboard, the arrow keys move, A jumps, space attacks, q and w rotate the camera, and with a gamepad, whichever button is “Button 1” is jump, Button 2 is attack, buttons 3 and 4 rotate the camera, and so forth. It could be worse, but it’s a shame that they made such a major oversight in thinking people wouldn’t want to set their own controls.
Not… really. Think of it as an inevitable-death simulator. No drinking water? Death! Forgot your socks? Death! &c.
If you can’t get it working, use a re-mapping/macro app. Really, you should get one regardless. It’s by far the easiest way to manage key re-mapping, whatever the device/game.

I recall one of the big complaints at the time was that it wasn’t always made obvious to you that you were dying, even if it was something that should be.
