You are in for a treat my friend. That’s still my favorite RTS. Well, except for maybe Warlord Battlecry 2 sometimes. I played Battlecry 2 and 3 for months with my friends, and I still never got through learning all the classes and races. There’s just so much content in those games.
Here we go again…
“OUR BIGGEST ANNOUNCEMENT EVER!”
2 days and counting. Whats the over/under of someone saying “Lucasarts” by page 153?
GoG: “Like Classic Lucasarts games? So do we! Here are some more shitty Atari games.”
So is their site going down for the next 48 hours?
If/when they eventually do get Lucasarts, their marketing department will probably claim Witcher 3 is coming out, and pre-orders get to download a beta…which links to The Dig, Rogue Squadron 2 and Ballblazer.
2 hours left…will it be a publisher…or Witcher 2 for Xbox? lol
3 hours left, right? I’ll be out at lunch, can y’all post here what’s going on please? :)

If it’s not Lucasarts, then I’m going to be hard pressed to say I care. I’m just hoping it’s actually a big announcement this time since there have been a few too many lackluster countdowns in the recent past for my tastes.
EA would be even beter than Lucasarts. But surely it will be Lucasarts.
Or maybe another announcement of them closing gog.com :P

EA is a close second, but my sheer nostalgia for the Lucasarts catalog exceeds that of EA’s by a large margin. Were it not for that, EA would be the one I’d want more.
I’d be totally thrilled with EA or Lucasarts honestly.

It would be nice to have the LucasArts games on GoG but I don’t know if it’s worthy of a huge countdown. Many of their older games are already available on Steam. I guess it would depend if some of the titles were ones that are currently not on other services, like TIE Fighter or Day of the Tentacle.
Yeah, honestly EA would be a much bigger announcement given their huge legacy.
EA would be a much bigger get than LucasArts, and even as a nutball Star Wars fan who would pay a much higher sum than is reasonable to play the X-Wing/TIE Fighter games again, I’d be much more excited at the prospect of playing the System Shocks, Wing Commanders and Starflights again.

I tried playing System shock 1 a few years ago. Even with the mouse support mod it wasn’t a pretty thing. It has not aged well.
I suspect many of the games on the above list hasn’t either.
