Gee, those dames sure are swell. Reminds me, I’m outta Viagara… but damn walker is in the shop!

I really want GOG to offer Covert Action. :(

That is all.

Just offer me the whole Microprose catalog please.

The Wing Commander 1/2 pack aren’t the Kilrathi-Saga native Windows versions? That’s a big disappointment.

Yes please.

A Covert Action in “HD” wouldn’t go amiss either.
Could easily be the best game of 2012.

YES!

One of my favourite Amiga games that one. Played it so many times. Loved how the game actually made you feel like you had a big effect on the war in Europe or not, and the news reports and whatnot.

Red Storm Rising would’ve made for an awesome 3-4 hour long movie as well.

I’d like to play Red Storm Rising again.

OMG totally. Still my favorite sub sim of all time, actually.

I first played Red Storm Rising on my Commodore 64. It had some kind of hi-def code for the torpedo tracks and missiles. It was so damn cool. As well there was a contest where you went through the whole game and sent in your last save. And the person with the best score won some kind of prize. I was 301 out of over 3000 disks sent in. In fact, I sent in a floppy (5 1/4 of course) that was red to make sure I got in.

I had one of those boxes of rainbow colored floppy disks. I am and have been, such a nerd.

Yeah, awesome game/sim. My first introduction to the world of nuclear subs after playing countless hours of GATO.

The guy who made Kennedy Approach began working on a remake of RSR but judging from his website the project appears to have stalled.

Mmmmm…Kennedy Approach. I imported that to play on the ST since the bastards never released it in the US.

I’d kill for GOG versions of SSI’s Medieval Lords and Matrix Cubed.

I sigh fondly over a Microprose ultimate flight collection CD I have. It includes PAW:1942, F-14 FD, Gunship 2K, and Falcon 3 with all of the trimmings. I think GoG should put this up just so we can show all these whippersnappers how flight sims were done. Hell, I think I should just make an .ISO and put it up just as a public service.

PAW: 1942 is a right bastard to get working in DOSBox, though.

I randomly walked by their booth around 3:30 yesterday because I smelled cookies. I then read Twitter where they announced they were giving away free games at 3:40.

mmmm…free cookies and games…

Redstorm Rising and Covert Action re-done on iOS. Will sell MILLIONS!*

*at 99 cents.

HEh, I own 1942 and Fleet Defender separately on CD, but those others would be nice to have. :)

This! A thousand times, THIS!

Bleh, unless you’re a flight or sub-sim fan, what good would it bring to get the Microprose catalogue?

I guess they did publish the original Civ and Civ2 as well as Colonization, I’ll give them that.
Also Transport Tycoon and Rollercoaster Tycoon.
And Railroad Tycoon.
Wasn’t Machiavelli the Prince sorta similar as well? Anyway, I guess they published that one, too.
Oh, and Master of Orion and it’s sequel, right.
Naturally, Master of Magic, too.
The first Pirates remake, Pirates! Gold, as well, I guess.
That Magic the Gathering game with a overland map attached to it was nice, too.
And Darklands, can’t forget Darklands.
Did I mention the original Majesty?
Or MechCommander?
X-Com?

Ah, I think I’m getting confused here … but I made my point, I guess.
What a worthless publisher.

rezaf

No Ultima IV included.

What’s the bet the next release is 4, 5, and 6?

Don’t forget Rex Nebular and the Cosmic Gender Bender.

Back to EA: I really hope we see Seven Cities of Gold/Heart of Africa, MULE, and the different construction sets games.

Airborne Ranger, that’s what I’d like to see.

Wasn’t that published by Microprose?
