Here’s hoping and praying the last EA game is Alien Crossfire.

Oh, sure, that’s what they’d like you to think.

I don’t think GoG has ever released an expansion on its own.

There’s a first time for everything.

i have a soft spot for the ultima 6 midi soundtrack. it did a good job capturing the feel of epicness despite the limitations of the midi format.

I just spent a bit of time with Nox, and it’s just as much fun as I remember it. :)

The only thing I didn’t like about Nox was the degrading of items. So I always ended up with an inventory of partially damaged armor and weapons just in case the one I was using turned red. The I could equip the yellow version of the same thing. It got tedious. But otherwise I loved it.

I only played as a wizard, so I didn’t run into that too much IIRC.

Indeed. I never played Nox on release, but picked it up this past weekend as bit of an impulse buy (coupled with a hankering for some action-RPG Diablo-clone gameplay). I’m only into Chapter 3, playing a warrior, and I’m getting quite a kick out of it. It seems a little fast (i.e. like my system is speeding up animation, particularly attacking), but I’m handling it. It’s good that I can get into the gameplay of this, as I got tired of Arcanum (also a GoG purchase) and I thought that I may be too sensitive to old graphics and interface/controls. We’ll see how it pans out.

New release… Wing Commander 3: Heart of the Tiger

I remember playing the first Wizball - it had the most awesome music from…Martin Galway I think? Or was it Ron Hubbard?

But yeah, Sensible Software made awesome games - Sensible soccer is still one of my favorite games.

Wow, this one includes a TON of extras. Surprising. And yay too!

Best part of the WC3 release:

You have been begging for it.
You want it.

IT has finally arrived…

Oh wait. Sorry. Never mind. It’s Star Control 3

Sigh, it was inevitable, but still, sigh.

Other than for meeting a release commitment or something: GoG, WTF?

What’s next on our “universally panned games list”? The silver box version of BC3000AD.

Yeah, I said it.

The thing I remember most about SC3: somebody tried too hard to make the X-Chaggers squee once you could translate them.

Having never played SC3, I’m guessing it was not so good, eh?

You are correct, sir.
