I am a jedi who joined GOG 1157 days ago.
I bought The Witcher 2 on GoG and sort of regret doing so. The patching process really is infuriating now that I’m spoiled by Steam…

The patching process in Steam is worse than GoG, you had to download almost the full game two times because the updates.
Ok, so I’ll blame CD Projekt instead. :)

yeah it is so hard to download one patch and run it…

Or you could blame Valve, it’s them who haven’t made a differential file patch system in Steam. ;)
I wonder how they generate the little titles? My profile page calls me a “bad bwai,” which makes me feel like I should be in the Jamaican gang from Predator 2.
It’s your gender from your account profile, rather than a title.

When you install Circle of 8, theres an optional combat focused quest (new location) that starts you can start at level 1. Its designed to give you roughly the same exp and rewards as doing all the fetch quests in Hommlet. So you can just ignore Hommlet completely and treat TOEE as a tactical turn based combat game (which is where it shines) right from the start.

To clarify for those who may need it, you will notice a new quest-giving NPC in the village that will get you over to that version.
Well here’s an interesting new release:
B-17 Flying Fortress: The Mighty 8th
GoG could use some more Microprose love, even if it isn’t one of their better titles.

I had a lot of fun with that game back in the day. Then again, the B-17 Flying Fortress (love that name!) has always fascinated me.

Awesome, I loved that game!
Now that GoG’s dropped a Microprose flight sim, I think they should drop Falcon 4 (which is another Atari/Hasbro-era MP sim, actually), so that the rivet counters could turn GoG’s forums into another Frugalsworld. :)
It was fun, but honestly I liked the original more for some reason. Then again my favorite bomber sim was Megafortress.
Oh god please no…

Anybody played Dambusters? I had that on my C 64. Fun game. You had to skip a spinning barrel shaped bomb into a dam. True story. I’d love to play it again.
Secret Weapons Over Normandy has some skip-bomb missions.
Yup. I remember it fondly. I also remember being really really bad at it.

Yeah, me too. Jumping from station to station to set everything up. I don’t think I ever busted a dam. But I did enjoy trying.
Huh? It’s a user selectable setting. What are you two smoking? Pass it around.
