Holy crap! I loved that game! NOW if they also get SimCopter, I’ll be insanely happy.

Sold! This has to be the best version of SimCity ever. Much like Civ2 (imho), the sophmore effort hit it out the park. Can’t wait to hear those cheesy sound effects for laying power lines.
So awesome, I can’t wait to fire Sim City 2k up.

Almost makes me want to see them get SimCopter and Streets of SimCity to throw in there, as well. Janky as it was, Streets was still highly enjoyable when I got to drive around my own cities and tear them apart.
And SimCopter is SimCopter, of course. Anyone who hates that game has no soul.
I spent many hours playing SimCity 2000. But I preferred the game without the plumbing. SimCity Enhanced would have suited me better.
I’m sure I’ve still got my SC2000 box and disc around here somewhere, so all I need to do is dig it up and hope the installer works and tweak it a bit and

Oh fine, I’ll get the GOG version for convenience…
Wow, and they didn’t even need a multi-week countdown timer with poorly translated headlines proclaiming “Now a God is you!”
When I was a kid, a friend of mine got SimCity 2000. We both had experience with the original, albeit limited, but we never made much progress in 2k. Why? We couldn’t figure out how to place power plants (because they were in a submenu off power lines and just clicking that button was not enough).

So, as of today my account is 1,090 days old. Am I alone in feeling that time has simply flown by? hugs GoG

The main way I played Sim City 2K was with the “fund” cheat and building a sprawling utopia. Imagine to my shock horror one day when I sat down to play the game without the cheat, and realising how much of a good challenging game Sim City 2000 was when I had to think about what I was doing. And not going ahead and placing exquisitve items like Colleges and Zoos straight off.
Do I buy this or hope that Sim City 4 is still compatible with my video card. Decisions!

I haven’t played SimCity 2k in something like 17 years. I played a ton of SC4, and love it to death. I’m unsure if I’ll enjoy 2k or if I should just stick with 4, since it is still such a solid game (especially if you love spreadsheets). I wish they’d expand on this franchise (In my world Societies doesn’t exist).
Buy this, get a copy of SimCopter, and have a blast.
Flying around your own SimCity 2000 cities in SimCopter was spiffy so here’s hoping GoG does get it at some point.
Woo, POD Gold is the new release! This was one of the games I remember getting with my spiffy new MMX processor, and I loved it. Weird tracks, way different physics between all the cars, and a surreal alien feel to it all. I hope they’ve done a good job with it, as it was one of those games that was a real pain to get working with modern systems.
I keep hearing good things about POD, but never played it. Love racing games though…

i remember this game as being an MMX showcase. I don’t recall the game being that much fun though unfortunately.
Ahh, POD brings back memories. My first computer (an Acer) came with a demo that it could BARELY play. Definitely a weird game.
