Oh I see! I suppose that makes sense. Good to know.
Far Cry 2 Fortunes Edition released for USD 9.99.
…(runs off to check Steam) It’s the same price as Steam, but with no DRM!
Torin’s Passage released for USD 5.99.
point/click adventure by Al Lowe, of KQ3 and Leisure Suit Larry fame. I’m surprised I’ve never heard of it.
Wow FC2, would not expect that.
Too bad I already have CE version.

Wow, I’m surprised by that price. It’s an okay game, but for 15 dollars?
Reminds me of the price creep of Kindle novels.

Dreamfall is for some reason pretty expensive everytime I tried looking for it. Thank god I have both a PC and an xbox version now…although…those are disc based… ARRGGGHHH
I have it in digital form on both formats. I have it both on Xbox (as an Xbox Live Original) and on PC (on Steam). But I’ve never got around to playing it. I skipped it when it originally came out because of mixed reviews. I always did regret that, since I feel like I missed the window on that game sometimes. I loved the first game so much, so I really should have been more loyal and played the second one when it came out.
It’s $20 on Steam. I guess GOG has done all they can to cut the base price as much as possible.
Pharaoh + Cleopatra are now $10 on GOG! Probably the most atmospheric of the Impressions builders. Still excellent, despite the irritating employment walkers. Building the great monuments of Egypt is so awesome!
Walkers are much more fun and atmospheric to me than games that use the magic aura of goods and services.
Yeah, I like walkers. Stuff it, Giaddon. Plebs are fucking needed. ;)
I think the game itself doesn’t really account for slum management. Just dump a few houses down near your work site, watch as they get sick, decay, burn down, then shovel it all up and build more. Could have been more interesting. But Pharaoh is amazing.
Much better than Zeus.
Haha!
Sorry, Giaddon, but Zeus was ultimately better. An Egyptian-themed-Zeus is the unrealized pinnacle of historical city builders.
Pharaoh was still pretty great—nothing beats building a pyramid—but those employment walkers were no good.
Good gracious, do I love those games…
You are so god damn wrong it hurts my dick.
I can have that effect on people. Hence my superhero identity, “The Blue-Baller.”

It’s interesting that the next SimCity uses walkers. They’re invisible and are called “agents”, but still walkers.

Yeah but those “walkers” are not going to be required to be corralled into a circle to make sure they pass everything in even intervals.

Does GOG Ever release their sales numbers? I’d be very interested in the Flight sim sales numbers, due to the recent Tie Fighter discussions and whether there still is any playerbase left to play these games.
