Hell yeah it’s awesome!
And I must point out that if GoG made the Wilderness Missions expansion available, that would be the first time it was truly available in the US. Someone on this board posted once that only a few hundred copies were ever sent here.
And it’s just as awesome as the original set of missions, though I think the final Wilderness Mission could only be completed by someone who knew it was coming and conducted every prior mission with it in mind.
Why is it fake?
Because Arkane studios for many months denied that the patch existed. They lied, and pretended that they are working on it, and then said “oops, not gonna happen”. Only NOW they actually admit they made the patch.

Wish list for GoG: Thief Gold (many requests for this, I’m sure) and Thief II, and Blade of Darkness (known as Severance: Blade of Darkness in the UK, I gather). And naturally, System Shock II (they’re probably tired of hearing about that request).

In the community section of GoG, top-right, there’s a link to vote on their wish list. I believe System Shock 2 is their most requested game :)
Go vote for Future Cop damnit, I want to hear Sky Captain call me monkey boy again!
Yes, but Tom loves to hear you beg.
Will do. FutureCop: LAPD was good stuff.
Fun fact: It was originally called Blade: The Edge of Darkness. Maybe our friend Tim Langdell had some part in getting it renamed?
Same, it’s currently sitting in my basket of non boxed games. Though I can’t find the original. I think I may have mail ordered Wilderness through Blue Byte at the time…great turn based combat game. I do remember the Wilderness Missions being dramatically more difficult then the original Incubation missions. Highly recommended if those games end up at gog.
I would love to see some old SSI games listed as well. Possibly some of the older WH40k games (Chaos Gate, Final Liberation). Though I’m sure the licensing would be a nightmare.

I had no idea it was that rare!
I’ve got a mint-condition, complete boxed copy of it sitting right here. The CD for the original campaign is still shrinkwrapped, tucked safely away in its digipak. The Wilderness Missions are simply in a CD sleeve.
As the box says, “Includes Both The Full Game AND The Mission CD!” It’s also emblazoned with the 1997 PC Games A-List award, the PC Gamer Editors’ Choice award, and the PC Gamer Best Turn-Based Strategy Game [of] 1997 award seals.
I found it a few years ago for about $3.00 at a secondhand store.
I’d want a full Wizardry collection, though honestly as far as I’m concerned the appeal of the older computer versions of the games is lessened as the NES and SNES ports have splendid sountracks. What’s the situation with regards to the right, sis it really that messy?
I’ve played Might & Magic VI nearly all day, it holds up really well. I’m teleported back to 1998 when I was a kid booting up the game for the first time. Had some big time nostalgia when I saw the two omnipresent male and female NPC models running around the first town. It seems to me that this series was always quite goofy fantasy, and so far I appreciate its sillyness. It has some quite good dungeons too.

Vote for the wizardry collection here as well. Though I’m dissapointed that they didn’t have Might and magic 7, which I thought was a decent sequel to 6’s reboot. It’s all downhill after that.

Has anyone else been experiencing the “corrupted setup file” problem I have? I DL’d Descent 3 today (through Firefox 3.xx) and got that error, so the installer crapped out, pretty much forcing me to redownload (this time through the GOG downloader). As I mentioned in an earlier post, that also happened with a couple of the setup files for TOCA3. Could it be my hard drive?
More likely your internet connection. But just to make sure it’s not your drive, check event viewer for any disk related errors.I never had any problem with gog, downloading or playing.
Could also be a RAM issue. Run Memtest.
I’ve used the GoG downloader and haven’t had any corruption issues but pausing downloads through the browser has led me to the need to redownload (when downloading the extras that come with the games). It’s the reason I now stick with the downloader for the big files (games).
And yeah, I decided to skip getting back at PoP:SoT and instead picked up Fallout and Fallout:Tactics with the deal. I needed some good old roleplaying and strategy to while away some vacation time. Enough with playing games I find annoying.

The problem is that the GoG downloader just seems so clunky compared to, say, the FilePlanet downloader.
Clunky slow or clunky not working or…? I’m only wondering because it’s add the file to the queue and let it download for me. Nothing else to it.

Clunky in the way it’s designed to work.
