You know Christmas is coming soon, and I could use a nice gift!
I like where you’re going with that.
I swear, if GoG gets Torment, I’m buying everyone I know Torment for Christmas. Even if they’re not a gamer!
Just because one person doesn’t know where to look doesn’t mean nobody does :). Not saying that makes it easier to get the game, but I’m fairly certain it’s not impossible.

Ok, so Tom’s confirming that it will soon be available in English from GoG for around $5, along with the hi-res mod built into it and perfect Vista support. Is that what everyone else is getting from this?
It took me 7 month to track down original copy of Torment for reasonable price and I suceeded.
But I would totally buy it again from gog!
I still have my copy, bought on launch day when the game came out, from EBGames in Alderwood Mall in North Seattle (the EBX in Redmond didn’t have any copies left). But I’d buy a GoG copy again in a second.
Clearly not.
They don’t have a $5 price point.

I just want the Wizardry Gold collection to be released on GoG to complement the Might & Magic collection. Who do I have to beg and bribe for this to happen?!
I’d be ok with them waiting to do this until after Starflight.

I have two copies that I currently use as coasters.
This, this, and this again.
That’s 8 coasters! You drink too much.
I still have my big ole box of Torment tucked away with all the other games I’ve ever bought. I doubt I’d play it again, though (I think I already had this discussion somewhere…). It was just too good the second time around to ruin it with another run (although I tried for a third a long while after, but I couldn’t get back into it).

I only played it once, and in retrospect missed alot. I’d buy from GOG as soon as available and play again, even though I still have all of the CD/manual/box stuff. I don’t know if it would play from my 10-yr-old box or not, but a $10 offer from GOG would make it a no-brainer.
Actually, I think having some kind of abandonware law would be a boon to sites like GOG. Because selling a game through GOG would be a way to show that the game had not been abandoned, then once the ten year (or however long) limit was nearly up the owning company could choose between doing nothing and so losing the property, or selling it through GOG (or another service) for some amount and thereby hold onto it for another ten years.
…and if nobody knows or cares enough about who something actually belongs to, to assert ownership, maybe it belongs in the public domain anyway.

Red Baron Pack on GoG today:
Oooooooh, now that’s more like it. I can’t find my Red Baron 2 CD anywhere, nor can I find the CD with the Red Baron 3D patch, so this is just perfect.
More classic Dynamix titles. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Betrayal at Krondor is around the corner.

Wouldn’t count on that yet. Red Baron popped up because Mad Otter Games acquired the IP a few weeks ago.
