I don’t remember the G2 interface being espeically painful. Or maybe that was just compared to G1 :) I’m really not sure about the standard advice here about trying it with the expansion installed on a first go. The expansion makes it harder (I think) and it’s already a hard game. If you’re new to the series, maybe you should take it a little easier, and if you want to go back and see more content, and G3 and Risen don’t appeal, then you have NOTR as an option. That was how it was first provided after all - everyone who played it had played through G2 already…

Bethesda might not have completely nailed third person, but they’ve done a better job than PB have of first I think.

I don’t think you can install it without the expansion in the GoG download.

If you press the Options button while installing it, there’s a checkbox that controls whether NotR gets installed or not.

Hey, we have some guys who’ve bought all 160 :)

That’s freaking awesome, Tom! ^_^ And I’m addicted to GoG too. Great work!

If they maximized savings with the deals, that actually wouldn’t be too much.
I looked over past deals and there was a “Complete This Developer’s Collection” deal. Pretty clever. The JoWood one got me for two. And the Ground Control would’ve got me if you guys fixed your system requirements for it :).

Bulimic, I would think.

Majesco is on GOG now, with Psychonauts and Advent Rising released today.

While that’s awesome, I would actually advise people away from the PC version of Psychonauts. I own both the PC and Xbox versions, and though the PC version looks identical and plays well with a wired 360 controller, all the tutorial messages you’ll see on the screen will be for keyboard shortcuts, even when you’re playing with a 360 controller on the PC. It takes away enough from the overall experience that I’d say it is worth spending a little extra money to get it from Xbox Live as a $15 Xbox Original instead.

Isn’t the tutorial a short part of the game though?

I’ve always wanted to play Advent Rising. Worth it?

So you’re saying I should buy an Xbox 360 just so I can get this game for $15?

Not really. You’re given new abilities throughout the game, and therefore keep receiving new tutorial messages on the screen throughout the game.

for that price…maybe.

it’s kind of buggy, but I found it enjoyable, especially the opening sequences.

I’ve never played it, but the soundtrack is freaking fantastic. ^_^

Both games are awesome, and both are awesome on PC.Too bad I already got Psychonauts on steam…I would instabuy it on gog if I didnt.

I liked it but I remember having a bug with the pc version that the game would not let me load save games correctly a lot. I don’t know if they ever patched the game as I traded the pc version back in after a week or so.

Do I dare buy psychonauts…again?

And totally, totally misused by the game.

Buy the soundtrack, not the game.

o_O How is it misused, if I may ask?
