Well I just bought Advent Rising darnit.Too bad OST is not included - I hope GOG will be able to get it later.

They had a tendancy to drop the dramatic tracks in when absolutely nothing was happening. Drinking tea dramatic music

And after the excellent space opening, you get that dire space station exposition bit. And then some terrible gun play. Then some terrible character development where you’re instant best buddies with everyone. Urgh, I feel dirty talking about it.

Hahahahahah! Sorry, I’m tempted to get it just for that, as it kinda sounds hilarious. DRAMATIC TEA DRINKING! sip

Wow, that sounds pretty…dreary…

Psychonauts was one of those games that, even eliminating the Couch Factor out of the equation, is just plain more fun on the Xbox than on the PC. The control scheme just works better on the console. That firing course with Sascha Nein was straightforward on the Xbox, and intolerable on Windows, IMHO.

You can download it to your 360 on Xbox Live arcade, which is what I ended up doing.

Lords of the Realm on sale. 1, 2 and 3, plus Magic for $12.57

Now, I know I’ve played some of these at some point in my gaming lifetime, but I’m getting old and my memory is bad. Someone remind me which of these were good please.

I didn’t actually play the Lords of the Realm games… Lords of Magic was a lot of fun, though.

Lords of the Realm 2 and its expansion were the best of 'em, IMHO. LOTR 1 was great, I heard LOTR 3 was crap, and Lords of Magic was…meh…

Lords of Magic SE is talked about upthread I think. The SE definitely fixed a lot of issues with the original release and was well received.

For that price, they’re worth it.

Sigh, and that’s all my wallet needed to hear kaching!

I just don’t see myself playing them anytime soon.

Sanitarium is up. I tried to play this a couple of years ago but didn’t get beyond the 1st room because it was extremely unstable.

Sanitarium is one of the best old school serious adventure games ever made.

Sanatorium kicks ass.
I finished the game way back and it was a memorable ride for sure!

Best part: Playing “Hide and Seek” with the kids (little brats!)…

It’s nice to see GOG pick up different developers/publishers. It seems like they have been on a roll recently.

Agreed, one can only hope this momentum keeps going. I know I keep buying their stuff, and will continue to do so. ^_^

Why is Sanitarium by Publisher XS Games? The disc version I bought years ago was by Interplay, wasn’t it? Did they sell the rights to publish it to XS Games I wonder?

Ah, I’ve been looking for Sanitarium for years. I lent out my disk copy back in college and never got it back.

It’s Interplay, man. They probably sold the rights to pay rent, and then got evicted anyway.

Edit: actually, just looking at Wiki and google, I don’t think Interplay published Sanitarium originally, ASC did.

You’re right. I was mistaken. It was ASC.

Sanitarium is awesome. One of my favourite childhood memories is playing Sanitarium, walking to a dude and trying to talk to him, when instead he falls down the abyss.Or trying to talk to a guy who keeps smashing his head to the wall.

I am definitely gonna buy it.
