No, seriously. It’s been a while since I got my porn from anywhere but P2P proggies. But while I have no problem differentiating porn from spyware-laced yuckiness, most people don’t. And by most people, I mean my friends, and even some clients. Every few months I’m removing spyware from their computers, and reminding them not to click popups, not to install stuff just because a website tells them to, etc. But like clockwork, every few months, I’m removing more spyware. I guess there’s no stopping ya from clicking “yes” when there’s porn involved.
There’s no stopping them from looking, but it’d be nice if I could point the way to some sites that don’t shit up their computer. A written set of “best practices” for porn surfing would be useful too. Any recommendations as far as good legimate spyware-free porn websites goes would be greatly appreciated. Do free, and spyware-free, porn sites even exist anymore?
And it’s been well established they’re not sneaking spyware into their banner ads or selling email addresses to spam mailers (although the latter is really a minor point for anyone with a junk email addy)?
I have a lot of clients who place a lot of trust in me, and are pretty open about their porn viewing habits.
“You’ve got spyware again?”
“Yeah, I just can’t stay away from the porn.”
It can be awkward at first, but it doesn’t faze you after awhile. You can only stumble across so many people’s porn directories before you cease to be embarrassed for their sake.
Why would he?
Porn is still legal in the states isn’t it? Unless his clients are minor I don’t see an issue - Machfive is selfemployed, so there’s no corporate rules he’s breaking.
Just continuing the questions also in all sincerity.
I have no suggestions, though. I’m quite unashamed about stealing my porn…
