Last week, a popular porn star who went by the name of August Ames committed suicide by hanging herself in a park in Southern California. The week leading up to her suicide she was hounded online by people who were upset/outraged that she declined to perform with a male performer who also did gay porn. She claimed it was a safety issue. Her detractors claimed it was homophobia.
Her suicide has only fueled the fire.
Geez hanging yourself in a park is a really rough way to go. Also kind of not-awesome for any park-goers.

I’ve had to wonder if there was some sort of Johnny Appleseed of porn who traveled the country distributing perverse periodicals for the most inquisitive children to find on their explorations. Some have speculated about nasty gnomes or porn-faeries littering the woodlands with titillating treats.

Yep. That and I’ve seen ongoing debates about varying porn standards for the protection of performers. There are a number of female performers who work with larger studios only that express concern that male-male porn is much more of a wild west situation with regards to frequent medical checkups, testing, and protected sex.
In that case I feel bad for her for the whole deal. If she has just refrained from posting anything, perhaps she would still be here, but with depression, anything could have lead down the path to set her off.
I did enjoy that, as I believe pretty much every kid in my neighborhood had experienced “Woods Porn”. Finding those treasures was in most cases our first experience with porn, and we were simultaneously shocked and intrigued. We’d study those photos diligently.

Yeah, I spent all day at work when I opened the site seeing this shit at the top of my queue. This thread title indeed needs to go. Or just delete the whole thread. When I noticed it after it got bumped last week I was disappointed it even existed on this site.
