The other Codex mascot (I mean, besides Cleve) is a guy named “prosper”, and definitely falls within that spectrum.

An update regarding Matt Barton and his show Matt Chat:
This I have to watch.
I don’t think I’d consider that an honor, but for Barton and his lifelong love of CRPGs I can imagine this is a piece, however small, of its history worth capturing and he gets to be a part of it.
I probably shouldn’t admit it, but I have been playing.
I mentioned it to my wife in passing when it was released as she has shown an interest in these older style RPGs. We didn’t discuss the history of the developer, nor do I really know much of it myself I admit, but she purchased it and seemed to be really enjoying it and I decided to give it a shot also.
I probably have 20 hours or so into it and most of my party is now level 5. I must admit one big draw it had for me was the diversity of races and classes and the ability to have a party of 8 to be able to fit in many classes on one playthru. I believe I have been successful on my first party run with minimal deaths and loading so may be able to help others in the beginning.
If others are playing and want to discuss strategies or other game aspects, I may be able to help some and offer more feedback on the game itself if there is an interest. I am finally up to the first set of puzzles and trying to work my way through them to open up other areas of the game.
Interesting observation given some of the things discussed in this thread.
Ah… yeah. I just meant that races like the Aeorb, the eyestalk guys, have a special ability called Mind Flay that does damage and causes creatures to attack each other at times, it appears. It seems to only work on humanoids and not things like plants or bugs, so there is some attention to detail there.
There are others that are similar like the lizard guys spitting bile attack and the vampyr being able to charm and I think the drake humanoids my get a fire breath attack.
Does any race get a bonus to spear-chucking?
Please forgive my cheap attempt at humor if any offense was taken. It was not meant as a slight on you but as an amused observation that a game featuring diversity of race is made by someone that discussion here indicates may not be as accepting of a cosmopolitan world.
