Already bought (I obviously was on the list)!
A fair warning for observers, this will most likely sell out, at what I belive is a 400 copies print run.
BTW, Bruce, I’m in the proccess of making some player aids for 1985, so I can have a better understanding of flow, but things are still hectic and I don’t know when I’ll be able to schedule some nights to play.

Sounds like a tabletop version of Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm, which is neat but man, 84 euroz. Board game prices be crazy.

I was as well! But I just checked my BGG messages now.
It will sell out. Warning to @Rod_Humble
No worries on 1985 – I don’t have time atm to play, either.
Nah, it’s actually almost a re-do of NATO Division Commander.
And it’s only $113 with shipping included.
Gents,
Pleaz nominate me a Boardgame that deals with:
Africa or the Med Dubya Dubya Two.
More complex than SCS.
Badass (or at least good) Vassal Mod and Functionality.
Go!
And thanks.

The Middle Sea by Victory Point Games
What I love about this company is that for a while I really wanted to try NATO division commander and The Next War, and lo and behold, they released pretty sweet looking re-dos of both. And given the price those games go for in good condition, it might be even cheaper to buy these.
I am afraid of my completionist nature and the fact these will be series of linked games, though.

?
You want in on the playtest? Just tell me.
Thanks for the heads up! Hmm. (glances at wife, stares at Less Than 60 Miles, glances at wife, mouse moves towards buy button).

You do the OCS thing? Tunisia & DAK 2 are very good and complete.
Danke, but I got my own PT mountain to climb. :)
No, it has to be published. My local Vassal/In-Person opponent has dibs on the next selection, and I wanna give him some options.
I’d consider those, but how are the Vassal Modules?
DAK 2 looks really great, actually, after noodling with it. Lots of functionality.
Cool! I had a great time with DAK2 playing some of the smaller scenarios. Never played the full thing though.
Oh, I will say if your opponent is new to the system also Tunisia has one of the very best learning scenarios in OCS “Race to Tunis” I think? Its a full meaty scenario too. Just low denisity, and a satisfyingly large playspace.
Kinda not Desert war but Reluctant Enemies is also a very good OCS intro.

How is Compass Games as a publisher? Am I remembering correctly that there have been some quality issues? So tempted by that Third World War reprint they are going.
My opinion only: Compass is printing and releasing games far faster than they can quality control them. I doubt some of them are really playtested. Some mistakes in the reprints rival Decision Games. I just would be very wary.
My feeling: you need to own Ici c’est la France and Tonkin. No question.
Yeah, what Bruce said. I think they are a good company, and are trying to do it the right way, but they are overstretched pumping out releases on a schedule more aggressive than even GMT.
