GTA : SA vs Half Life 2

I admit I was being overly provocative and I did really enjoy the first two GTA games. I just feel that the core gameplay really starts getting old after the fricking fifth (or sixth if you count London) game in the series, no matter how much extra stuff they add around the core.

Are you the kind of person who will complain about Madden 2005 being, at its core, still about football? ;)

Heh. I’m sure I would, but I prefer to keep myself oblivious to the existence of the whole sports game genre. :P

I’m on the GTA side, the issues between Valve and vivendi will delay patching and additional content for half life. Half life is gonna look like a sad old idea next to Halo 2 and GTA.

Half life 2’s story is redundant and unoriginal and counterstrike source is gonna be way less fun than you remember the original counterstrike being.

I’m on the other end of the scale with CS source, I hate the old CounterStrike but for some reason I really like Source ( Maybe it’s the pretty graphics, maybe it’s the physics, or maybe it’s a mixture of a lot of things.)

Oddly I still enjoy a good (when I can find a good server) game of CS…

Since GTA SA won’t be out for the PC for probably a minimum 6 months…I gotta go with HL 2 for now. Although, they have a lot to live up to…with the first being so groundbreaking and then all the silliness that has happend with HL2…

I wonder if part of your positive experience comes from the fact that there are significant numbers of current CounterStrike m0tards who either don’t have the modern hardware capable of running the new version (part of why they stick with CS over other games) or are teenagers without access to a credit card to pre-order through Steam. ;)

It’ll be interesting to see how the experience changes after a week of release in the retail stores.

There’s probably less kiddies on at the moment but there’s quite a few assholes already in games. We’ve ( the group of friends I play with) found a set of decent servers that have some pretty good regulars on there - encountered a couple of hackers already too ( I…think…) .

Half Life 2? Just another fps that is ok.

I have a really smart opinion about this games because i played them, Half-life 2 have better graphics, gameplay, physics, History, AI, and models. otherwise GTA sa have a larger map to make more things that in half-life 2 we cannot do, BUT in half-life 2 you need to do the history, if you want to play a source sandbox play garry’s mod. anyway the half-life 2 is better and gta is bad compared to hl2, gta sa is only a famous game.
