Yeah, I’m just going to make characters for tonight. I’ll hold off playing till tomorrow. Of course I don’t know how much willpower I have.

I started off with very little willpower. But I can count to 10 between when I swing, and when I drop the hammer on whatever poor mob I’m after.

You can move around, but it’s obvious you aren’t interacting with anything and that the server is ignoring you until it times you out. Still, the graphics are nice, and one can look around the tutorial area. If you’re naughty, you can go outside the area, and even though there’s a warning it will teleport you back in, well, THAT’S not going to happen given the state of the servers.

Onward to ghostly adventuring!!!

Yeah, the lag is insane right now and I can’t make it out of the starter area without getting a connection error. :(

How do you take a picture of the front of your character?

Will probably try this more on Sunday (getting a lot of lag - which is to be expected).

Have a family gig all day Saturday (oh, well)

Managed to login and created 4 characters, I even played a little bit with one of them and everything seemed fine, didn’t notice any lag. Gonna sleep now since it’s 2am here and hope that in the morning everything remains fine for me when I try to play.

Anvil Rock is Low population. That seems promising…

Wanderers are on Ehmry Bay. Is that a good idea?

Jason - EBay is the QT3 and Wanderers server. JQ is the BFF server. One of the two is a good choice if you want to be in either of those guilds.

Got on and made a character on Ebay and good lord I am loving the beautiful art.

It doesn’t hurt that it’s running at twice the frame rate compared to the stress test earlier this week, but the area I was running around in was just gorgeous.

EU servers are fine once you get in. The only problem here is that every event ends in less than a minute because we’re 50+ group zerging everything.

Been playing mostly for the last two hours on Ebay; had a disconnect that apparently hit a lot of folks and lost about 5 minutes of play, including the harpy event which made me kinda mad since I worked superhard at it, and had to wait around for the next one.

Had fun though… kinda funky. I can’t imagine doing the events with not a lot of folks around. There was a bandit one later on with levels 4-6 that was super-nasty… lots of shit exploding, and I went from full health to dead in like 3 seconds flat. Seems to be a bit of healers about, but when you get further out… I dunno.

Like getting new weapons and working on new weapon skills, that’s kinda fun to mess around with. Armors getting broken, dunno how to get it fixed yet… also lots of crafting materials hanging around apparently… and not enough room to store crap in.

Lag stopped - only thing I do not understand it keeps moving me to an overflow. Then 5 - 10 minutes later it moves me to another overflow. So overflow servers get full too? Not sure why I got moved again - a bit funky. :>)

Bear in mind that events scale with the number of people (I don’t know how low they will scale down though).

Regarding armor repair, there are armor repair NPCs around, just look for them on your map.

Yeah, I got on immediately, made a character, and then the intro video just sat at a black screen, unresponsive. I assume the world server is overloaded. Now the login server is unresponsive. Hopefully my character is still there tomorrow…

Same same… logged out to create my warrior, black screen as I try to load in. Now I cannot get back into the game due to a hammered login server. The trick seems to be sticking with the character you get in on, as i had no issues for hours running about with my elementalist.

big server crash. If you use teh twitterz, I recommend following GW2. They’re doing up to the second satus updates on issues.
