Anyone can draw on the map in a group. Maybe you mean map marking for veryone in a server or guild?
Can’t you simply kick someone? We did it in a dungeon before.

Guild Wars 2 for Mac!

I mostly use a PC but also have a Mac so this is convenient.

Be careful and check the prices first. In the above example, silver could be sold for 22s50c (9c per) and the gold could be bought for 19s25c (35c per). Plus, to transmute, you also need to spend dust (not sure how many (10?) but Radiant Dust required for the silver to gold transmutation can be sold for 15c per) and skill points (to get the Philosopher’s stones).

Sometimes simpler solutions are better.

However, I am not sure where we can look up transmutation recipes. Spending 250 silver to get 55 gold seems kinda steep, I thought it was 2:1. At least, Jericho’s example (copper to iron) shows 2:1 ratio (which is funny, since their price is also 2:1, making it MUCH cheaper to sell/buy).

IIRC we can just pull up the guild interface (G by default) and invite people from there (right click).

#4 There is no way to get rid of someone in the group who logged off, its reform group time :(

Again, IIRC, the leader can kick people from the group.

Don’t know if this is for everyone, but I often have problems with my Party and Contacts (and I’d assume Guild) interfaces where they no longer respond to right-click. This led me to believe for a while that you couldn’t do various tasks this way (such as Right-Click | Invite off of Contacts list, kicking people from parties, etc). A restart of the game fixes it, but I’m not sure what triggers it.

I’ve got one character sitting at level 31 that still hasn’t finished all of the starting areas, and I’ve done very little else with it. The way the game scales levels around, there really isn’t much detriment going to another races starting area. It’s sort of standard procedure for me at this point leveling new characters.

Leveling is considerably faster in a zone of your level, if one cares about that. If not, there’s no pressure to move ahead in zone level, other than chasing your story. Even in terms of crafting mats, copper is so valuable the starter zones are just about as good for making money.

It is, however, pretty tedious to have to hop zones when you didn’t plan to because the XP curve is off due to insufficient/stuck events.

Yeah! This is great news. Definitely going on my MacBook.

Just created an account. It’s asking me to pick a home server, but the server my friend is on is listed as “full”. Is that a temporary state (eg “too many people are logged in right now”), or does it mean I can never select that server for my character?

That is a temporary state. I had the same problem when creating an account for my son. Just wait until it is “high” or less.

It means you can’t create a character there now. If you really want to play now, create a character somewhere else - but realize that all of your characters will live on this server you select, and initially you won’t be able to play with your friend. Also, the server you choose is your home server for WvWvW.

Later on (say, tomorrow morning) you can log into GW2 and transfer all your characters to your friends’ server - as of now, transfers don’t cost anything, and there’s no waiting period if you wanted to transfer a couple of times.

At some point in the future, they’ll implement guesting, which lets characters from different servers play and group together. However, your home server still determines your “team” for WvWvW.

Holy crap… GW2 honeymoon is over. The seething hate with this patch will make next week’s WoW launch interesting.

Seething hate?

People hate to like cooking, also they hate considering enjoying crafting, with some seething on the side…?

What hate where? Using the discovery panel straight from my collection is a godsend for cooking.

Not about the discovery tab. The lockouts/diminished returns/etc. It is overwhelming the applause of the discovery tab fix. QT3 is not representative of the raving lunatics on other forums :)

I’ve noticed before that ore tends to move around a little within an area where it appears in greater quantities, but tonight I found that copper had moved around quite a bit in the Fisher’s Beach Bend area (first stop on my copper mining rounds). Curious to know if the changes are random or scheduled? I’ll be going to my second stop next (Queensland area) but last I checked, it’s more spread out there.

Played a little bit in the Iron Marches area today and found at least 5 bugged events. I don’t know if I was just unlucky or if they really did some sloppy work there, but still very annoying.

So I’ve only played for a few hours so far and really like what I see, but man that camera lag is really annoying!

I had real issues with the camera lag at first, but it seems that I’ve adapted to it and now rarely notice. In fact, WoW almost feels trigger-happy when switching back. Odd how that works! But just persist, and it’ll get better.
