I’ve sort of fallen by the wayside as far as gaming news sites and gossip mills go, since there hasn’t been a game which really caught my interest in ages, so I was quite taken aback by news of Half-Life 2 even being in development, let alone nearing completion.
That must mean Teamfortress 2 is due out shortly, yes? No? Okay, well, moving along.
Has anyone heard anything on the topic of HL2 release dates, and related speculation on whether Valve can pull this off and actually hit that date?
After seeing those videos a few months ago, my juices are still flowing.
Try the www.halflife2.net forums and you’ll find more release date discussion than you would have thought possible. Along with with endless video easter egg discussions and possibly nude Alyx wallpaper.
Didn’t you see the facial tech demo? Valve’s licensed research scientist narrowed down all facial expressions to their 3 basic components : “creepy smile”, “eye rolling” and “uh-oh”.
They’re also saying that Metal Gear Solid 3 is out this year and they still have Armada 2 for the Cube being released in September (it was cancelled months ago). EB is a pretty bad place to get accurate release date info. Sometimes I don’t think they know any more than we do. Or, at least in these cases, they know less.
shit shit shit…I thought Armada 2 had come back! I loved Armada. Are you sure it was cancelled for good? I could have sworn it came back up for an XBox release. Damnit damnit damnit. [insert more curses]
HL2 for PS2? oh yippee… I wonder how well it’ll run… actually probably not that bad with optimisation and all but still… not the platform I’d rush out and buy it for.
