It may have been 11, it may have been the original iteration of 14 (which was very bad and taken offline to overhaul as much as possible as quicky as possible) or it may have been the current iteration. If you want to give it another shot I’d recommend the trial which is free up to level 60 (covers the base game and first expansion).
Depending on your pace that may carry you until the next expansion launches in fall. At that point you could buy the complete edition for $60 or wait for a sale (probably $30 or $40 around the holidays). They also sell the Starter Edition for $20, but all that really does is lift some of the chat and trade restrictions on a trial account and pushes you from free to a subscription account. Subs are $13/mo for one character or $15/mo for up to 8 on a server. You only need one.
