When the stores close, does that also mean you can’t redownload things you have previously purchased?
I’m literally going thru the vita store right now. I haven’t had mine on in a while and thought maybe prices had dropped. But most stiff is still priced like when it came out years ago. 30 or 40 or more for 5 year old handheld games is kinda crazy. What a waste is a pretty good little jrpg machine
Hopefully they will have a sale this summer before taking the store offline.
It’s not clear, since this is just a rumor. Hopefully they will still allow downloading. Just to be safe I’m grabbing all my games though.
Sony confirmed that the news about the store shutting on July 2nd is true.
I better go through my wish list and buy all the games I’m missing. Oh, can’t do that because they killed that functionality on their site! Fuck you Sony.

Wonder what happens to Plus games installed on the Vita
I don’t personally think these “classics” sound all that appealing, but interesting to read about at least.
Daytona USA, Noby Noby Boy, and TxK are fantastic.

The biggest blow that’s only barely touched in the article: a total loss of digital PS1 games.
I recently bought Final Fantasy VI on there. I was having fun playing it so far, but it’s on a Vita, so I don’t have many opportunities to play it. Anyway, I’ve heard enough good things about FF6 over the decades that I’m looking forward to eventually finishing it.
They didn’t seem to be interested in talking about anything that can be obtained physically, which is why I also didn’t mention any of the fantastic PSP exclusives that’ll be that much harder to obtain legitimately once the store shuts down, like ZHP, Persona 3 Portable, the Final Fantasy IV remaster, The 3rd Birthday, and Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together.
Sad. Theres a lot of good digital only stuff that’ll be going poof. I would’ve dropped a couple hundred in their last sales if they had announced they were stopping all discounts years ago. Most of the vita stuff I’m interested in is far higher than I’d like to spend, but I might grab a few last classics.
Going to have to look over the PSP library as well hmm…
Dammit, do I need to recharge my Vita just so I can buy all those games I never got to? The collector in me says yes…
Hey, quick question: Can all the PSP digital games also be played on the Vita? It would be nice if I could just buy everything on one system, so I don’t have to dig out my old PSP and buy games there too.

There’s a handful of games that are super weird due to rights or something where this is not true but it is very much the minority special case.
Thanks! I guess I need to start looking around for Top N PSP/Vita lists!
Looks like physical Vita games & even PS3 took off in prices now.
Did anyone pick up anything from the store?
My potential shopping list looks like this so far:
[PS3] Ratchet & Clank Crack in Time
[PS3] Ratchet & Clank Into the Nexus
I wanted physical copies for my collection. Never came across them & they skyrocketed.
[PS3+V] Ratchet & Clank Full Frontal
Didn’t like the game when I tried the demo, but it comes with Deadlocked for free.
[PS2] Chulip
[PS2] SMT Devil Summoner
[PS2] SMT Devil Summoner 2
[PS2] SMT Digital Devil Saga
[PS2] SMT Digital Devil Saga 2
[PS2] SMT Nocturne
And for the Vita,
[PS1] Klonoa
[PS1] Misadventures of Tron Bonne
[PS1] Shadow Tower
[PS1] Suikoden 2
[PSP] Breath of Fire 3
[PSP] Dissidia Duodecim
[V] Killzone Bot-mode DLC
[V] Sly Collection
I was reminded in the Returnal thread that I like Housemarque’s games. Maybe I should get Super Stardust Portable for PSP or Super Stardust Delta for the Vita. Or both, if they’re very different from one another. I already own Super Stardust HD on the PS3, and played the hell out of it.
I am wondering if I should get look into 2D PS1 games and PSP games. I already got Final Fantasy VI for the Vita (PS1). I figure that’s the best one of those to have. But maybe I should also get Final Fantasy IV and V before they go away? You don’t often as much praise about those, but when you do, fans get pretty passionate.
