HDMI 2.1 Solutions

HDMI 2.1 has been on TVs since 2019 and the compatible cables go by a few names:
HDMI 4K@120Hz
8K HDMI
48Gbps HDMI

Longer cables are really hard to find. Only sourced one option over 10ft:

There seem to be no HDMI 2.1 switches at all.

There seem to be no Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI 2.1 adapters anywhere.

Anyone have any finds they can share?

What are you looking for? The spec doesn’t really allow for long cable runs with high data rate.

HDMI org 2.1 FAQ says

What is the maximum length of this cable?

Cable length depends on the cable manufacturer. It is likely the maximum lengths for passive cables will be approximately 2 to 3 meters.

I’m planning to mount a new TV and run the cables in the wall. My thought is I’m going to lose 2m there, so 4m total would be OK. 5m is better, which is the length of the cable I linked above. I’ve ordered them, but that was literally the only option I could find above 3m.

I’ll toss this here, good video.

10% of the cables he bought didn’t work to advertised spec.

Monoprice cables are crap now? :O
