I’ll tot that up too for shits and giggles. Not sure on number of packs opened, and this collection is after 10 months. Ignoring basics and Nax cards, and ignoring golds over the max playable limit for a card.

Common owned: 182, missing: 2 (Still haven’t gotten back those UTH I dusted)

Rare owned: 156, missing: 6

Epic owned: 53, missing: 23

Legendary owned: 23, missing: 13

And at 4255 gold and 1980 dust at the moment.
Apart from having the dust for a legendary I’ve also got a gold Leeroy I pulled out of a pack after I crafted a normal. Haven’t torn him up yet since I’m hoping he eventually gets nerfed because of all the 20+ damage combos that come from him and then I’ll be rich. RICH. Plus there’s nothing I feel super motivated to craft. Plenty of cards I’d like if they fell out of a pack but not much I really want to burn dust on. Largely just spinning my wheels until they release an actual new set, then I’ll probably dump all my gold at once on boosters and patch up the holes with dust. And to top it all off I haven’t been playing all that much lately anyway. The new cards from Nax are helping a little but it’s not shaking things up enough, not like a new few hundred card set.

I need 10 rare, 34 epic, and 21 Legendary. That represents 47.1k dust value. I have ~2.3k dust.

Is there an easy way to see what cards you’re missing? I don’t see anything obvious that says how many of each type I don’t have. Or are you guys just counting them up by hand?

I’m a nerd and keep track of it in a spreadsheet.

I’m really cool and keep track of it in a spreadsheet, wearing sunglasses.

If you want a laugh, try using a doomsayer - the outcome is…cheesy, but not the way you’re likely thinking…

Speaking of weird custom interactions, I’m not totally sure on this, but it appears that casting divine shield on a Spectral Warrior kills it immediately.

What’s kind of weird about that is that Doomsayer does the normal thing in normal Four Horsemen… that was how I beat it on my first try with a freeze mage deck. I didn’t even know it would be useful.

After the first boss in The Construct Quarter trashed my priest, I beat all four bosses with my hunter in a four match blitz. There was nothing special about my hunter’s deck and I was astonished when he won so easily.

I really wish they wouldn’t make special rules on these bosses without telling you. I played a Misdirection against Patchwerk, thinking that would save me a turn and do five to him, but it never triggered. It says “When a character attacks your hero”, not “a minion”, so it should have worked unless they purposely disabled it. After the same thing happened last week with Equality, it’s getting annoying.

I also beat all four normal mode bosses with a Hunter, although I lost a couple of games along the way. No way I’m using the same deck against Heroic mode, though, as it relies on quick damage and the unfair advantages of the heroic mode bosses make that a bad idea.

Had some fun with the hero challenges. Won the Warrior one on my second try with a charging Grommash, which is always a good time. Ended up with a 19/8 Deathlord on the board in the Priest challenge, with an effect list in the hover-tip so long it ran off the bottom of the screen. Good fun with both of those.

Yeah Adding health, draw card, double health on Lightspawn was the key to Priest for me.

In this case, I think it might be standard behavior. If a hero attacks the other hero with no minions on the board, will Misdirection make the attacking hero attack itself? I thought the attacking entity would never hit itself, and thus Misdirection wouldn’t fire (as a courtesy to not be wasted.)

Maybe? I can’t recall if I’ve ever had the situation occur in a normal game. In any event, it was confusing.

Fun card recommendation for Patchwerk Heroic inside spoiler tag:

Patchwerk Heroic

I just discovered that even though Patchwerk doesn’t draw cards, he will take fatigue damage if you force him to draw. That means your first Coldlight Oracle gives you a 2/2 and 2 cards and does 3 damage to him, all for 3 mana. The second you play does 7 damage instead of 3. Add in Dancing Swords for additional synergy.

Harrison Jones is also insane.

As for class, I used frost mage, picking every card that can freeze him for a turn. Ice Lance, for example, is functionally a 1-cost for 8 damage prevention in this battle. Ice Barrier is also worth running on its own, and means Mad Scientist becomes a 2/2 + 8 damage prevention for 2 mana.

Millhouse Manastorm and Arcane Golem are also quite efficient.

Yeah, this is right.

Good call on that recommendation for Heroic Patchwerk, slantz. Beat him with something similar in three tries. Old Jonesy is a card I’ve always wanted to get some use out of.

I got lucky on Thaddius and first-try obliterated him (after playing a couple of rounds to ‘scout’ his heroic gimmick).

Thaddius Heroic

I used Shaman. Hex was my friend – I got lucky and was able to hex both forms, but either should be enough to prevent Thaddius from appearing in his 11/11 form.

Other fun picks:
-Nerubian Egg (will always you a 4/4 at end of your turn; can trade for a form)
-Silverback Patriarch (4/1 taunt)
-Earth Elemental (usually lives through first turn, then trades his power for a whole new set of health)
-Various silence effects in case I don’t draw Hex. You should only need to silence one of the forms to prevent Thaddius
-Emperor Cobra (as backup in case Thaddius does form)
-Big Game Hunter (Can kill one of the forms, or Thaddius himself. Haven’t confirmed there’s no special code at play, but there shouldn’t be.)

I’m guessing frost mage would work well too, with Polymorph being the key replacement for Hex.

If anyone has any high-level tips on the Instructor from the Military quarter, I’m all ears. I’d love class or individual card suggestions, but am not ready to resign to looking up decklists yet. He’s the guy I’ve had the most trouble with.

I’m confused-- Stalagg and Feugen don’t have their normal deathrattles in that fight. There’s no 11/11 to worry about.

I do not have any great cards or decks. I believe I beat the instructor with my Mage. It took umpteen plays though. Is there a way to see which deck won where? I can double check my memory if there is a way to see the results.

For heroic Raz I used Divine Spirit / Inner Fire.
