Help me Qt3, you're my only hope. (Poll thread)

There is too much awesome coming out at one time and my wallet can’t keep up! Therefore, I turn to you, good ladies and gentlemen of Qt3. Help?

You must give some information about you, or this would turn into “forum favorites”. I voted the most original of the 4.

I’m paralyzed by indecision. Where’s the S/B choice?

Wonderful 101. They all look good, but why not get the game that’s in danger of disappearing and becoming one of those super-rare titles?

I don’t think he wants to play Shit Bonerz. Poor reviews.

Response (Poll thread response).

Teiman: Assume I like them all perfectly equally.

No contest. Rome Total War 2. CA - don’t let me down…

Saints Row IV.

Hehe, Figured you’d say that :-)

Still time to grab SR4 now – and finish EVERYTHING before Rome 2 is out.

I voted for The Wonderful 101, for the same reason Telefrog mentioned. It’s worth noting that Nintendo offers same-day digital releases for their retail games, though, so even if the game becomes a retail rarity, you can still pick up a download copy a few years down the line.

Though they’re all strong options, Rome 2 seems like a bad choice to get first from the standpoint of “this game is going to be heavily discounted three months after release.” The only other one that’ll be like that is the PC version of Rayman Legends, and that’s a game you’ll want to get on its primary release platform, which is definitely still Wii U.

I love digital releases, but I definitely steer clear of them as much as I can on Nintendo’s platforms, since they aren’t tied to an account or gamertag, but rather they are tied to the specific hardware you buy them on. At least that’s the way it was on Wii, and I think it’s the same on WiiU.

On topic: Rayman Legends!!! It’s going to be so amazing.

It’s an odd situation; your digital games on Wii U are tied to your Nintendo Network ID, which you can log into from elsewhere (the Miiverse Web site on PC, for example), but there’s no user-accessible system for letting you use your account on a different console. You’d have to have Nintendo transfer your info for you.

Hopefully they’ll get a unified account system rolled out sometime soon (they’ve acknowledged that there’s a problem that needs to be fixed, but despite what the armchair programmers on sites like NeoGAF would have you think, it’s a lot more complex than “push button to create universal account system”), but for now, yeah, I don’t buy digital games on 3DS at all. Just getting it out there that digital is an option on release for retail Wii U games, unlike with, say, retail Xbox 360 games.

Agreed. No other choice possible.
