There still seems to be extra spacing given to that column on that iPad screenshot compared to a normal PC browser.

Here’s a screenshot which even includes the Hardware and technical stuff topics, which is the longest.

It’s not that there’s extra spacing being given to the categories, it’s that there’s less given to the topic. On the iPad it has to fit into a fixed column width.

With categories below subjects we fit about 1/3 less threads in the listing. So it was a tradeoff.

So I’ve tried to mute a thread in P&R. But it doesn’t want to. I may have a few muted threads. Is there a limit on muted threads?

Edit: 114 muted. Is that the limit?

I don’t believe there is a limit.

Just to check I unmuted a few old threads. Then tried again. Still not working. The one I want to mute is MMT thread. I’m too stupid to understand the concepts there. So I mute. But it still refuses to mute. Next test, trying to mute some other thread. BRB.

Edit: Nope. Threads not muting now. Weird. Next thing, unmuting a lot of old threads to see if there is a number that will work.

I’ve tried muting the same thread because I don’t want to get drawn into it and can’t help myself. Won’t mute for me either.

Muting by category and/or topic seem to override each other. If you have the category muted, any topics in it that are Tracking or Watching (all the way at the bottom) will not be muted. Make sure you’ve made that change on the individual Topics. I recently went through and had to do this for some P&R stuff that I don’t need in my life.

Well it worked just now when I did it on my mobile. That may have been the problem because it was showing up as Tracking. Thanks!

The PR forum shows back on my main screen and I can’t make it go away. It’s shown to hide in my preferences.

Set you home screen to Latest instead of Categories. I don’t think it can be suppressed from Categories.

It used to be hidden there, and a muted P&R thread showed up there. Thinking I had dual mutings causing an issue, I unmuted it.

The pull down always had it showing, which makes sense.

Can we disable the “Search…” bar under the category drop-down? On my phone it causes my keyboard to pop-up, which blocks the bottom categories. We only have seven categories, so we don’t really need a search function there.
