Edit: I just tested on Safari iOS and the search doesnât show. Are you on iPad? That masquerades as a desktop browser now. Still shouldnât show as we donât have 14 categories, though.
When I tell my iPhone to request the desktop version the categories dropdown does show the search bar but my keyboard doesnât pop up so it isnât annoying. Maybe an android thing-- I donât have android here to test.
Original:
I take it this just showed up with yesterdayâs update? I think itâs probably a bug, as the dropdown is only supposed to show on desktop, and only with >14 categories.
Yes, android. Started almost a week ago.

Ahh. I donât have an android phone so I canât test it myself. Suggest opening a bug report on their meta forums for this.
I tried it on my Pixel 3 , it allows me to hide the keyboard. Here is what I see.
But you have to hide it. Until then it hides the list. Angryface

No, muting topics appears to be completely broken now. I opened a bug report in the meta forum about it.
Edit: And they already reproduced the problem and will be fixing it soon!

The fix should be merged soon, but until then, you can still mute topics from the footer, right above âSuggested Topicsâ at the very bottom of a thread. Just not from the timeline on the right.
Edit: Fixed!

Yep. Muted a couple of threads. Thanks again.
Muting categories is still wonked. They show on my Categories screen and they shouldnât. I re-muted (hid) the P&R thread and it showed up still/

That was a deliberate change on their part, I just fixed it in the categories listing.
It does still show in the dropdown though, I donât see any way to fix that, although CSS might do it.

I also added a light/dark mode toggle to the default light and dark themes only. If youâre using a different theme you wonât see it. Selecting different themes in the hamburger menu still works.
Why is Solarized Dark in the light menu and Solarized Light in the dark menu?

It should just say Light and Dark. Light is the old âLight and Brightâ and Dark is the old âTomorrow Nightâ. Note, not the OLED black Tomorrow NIght (Bright)", if you want that you need to choose it. Do a full refresh, you still see solarized?
I can make it auto-switch based on your browser in light/dark mode too, does anyone actually switch between dark/light modes? In my experience most people just pick one and stick to it.
This is what Iâm seeing đ

Yes, the hamburger menu was not changed. If you switch to Light or Dark youâll see a new selector in the top header. Youâre in solarized dark.

I do! I started with dark only, but I found myself missing the dark text on white during the daytime, so now I find myself autoswitching. Itâd be great if Qt3 could support that!
