Sometimes, I don’t get the list updated right away. Could that be it?

Well, for me the tracking was “muted” for those two threads. I have no idea how I did that but hey, it happens!

Is there a way to block a category or topic for a length of time? I’m familiar with blocking users with that option, but I may be too dense to notice how to do that otherwise.

And if I do mute a category, threads that are set with normal notification in that thread still override the mute if I look at unread?

You can mute a topic. Its next to the reply arrow on the right.

Looks like when I mute a topic, it will never unmute itself. When I mute an individual, I declare how LONG I mute them for.

Pretty sure you can mute a category too, but not sure if per-topic notifications overrides that category mute or not.

I’d like to mute P&R for a week. I need a break. Not forever, but a break.

Yeah I think the time period thing is only for individuals because wumpus says you should never permanently mute a person.

I came to a “if there’s one more damn post…” moment for that myself today. Sorry if I contributed to your own issue with it.

Edit: also sorry for edit notification spam

I’m not gonna drag anything from there in here. Let’s just say I was watching platform last night, and wishing I could nuke all my posts in a certain topic.

That’s right, only muting people has a time period. I mute P&R and all the various sports threads myself.

Personally I’d reverse the two. Timed mutes on topics and categories, permanent on people. But I am not our lord and savior of forum software.

There are people who I have muted that have come off ignore, to my benefit as they have changed my mind or I at least understand a little more about their position.

There also other people which it gives me great pleasure to set to ignore every four months :) It’s like picking at a scab.

It’s not a feature. Simply set yourself a reminder to unmute the category in a week. And if you haven’t missed it in a week, maybe you’ll push it back another week and live a happier confinement. :)

Okay, who went and added emojis?

Yeah it’s terrible, and there is no freaking way to disable those fugly things.

Discourse now fully supports PWA on iOS. Just go to share in Safari then add to homescreen. Works offline too, to an extent.

At first I thought I was imagining it. But it just happened again. And it happens every session.

I’ll be in a thread. I back out to say, P&R. Enter another thread. And when I back out of that one, I’m back in the original thread. If I try to back out of that one, I might end up on a previous forum (not Qt3).

Happens to me all the time too on chrome mobile.

I’ve taken to clicking the home icon in the top left instead of using the back button.

God bless you. I am not alone! So what do you think causes it?
