You can temp-ignore someone forum-wide for a span of time by visiting your preferences page: https://forum.quartertothree.com/u/tylertoo/preferences/users

@arrendek made a forum script to allow permanent ignore that I think still works.

You can ignore forever in the latest version.

You can enable the “Enable defer to mark topics unread” feature for that at /my/preferences/interface.

You can ignore forever in the latest version.

Discourse ignore is now six months, unless I am seeing a completely different UI on mobile. It has been increased over time, however. I think it started with a max of 3 months, then went to 4, and only recently went to 6. There is a certain pleasure in re-upping the ignore list every few months but fire and forget would be nice too.

What I meant is that the forever option is already available at the latest version, so next time this instance updates it will get the feature.

Ignore now has a ‘forever’ option but none of the options actually seem to work now :/
