You can do it by going to their user profile by clicking on their name also. But not admins, you’re stuck with me!
Thanks.
Don’t understand why someone would find that sort of posting enjoyable, but there’s a lot about human behavior I don’t get.
I don’t think you can do this if their profile is hidden.

Yes, that’s probably true.
Is there anyway to mark threads and messages unread?

Don’t think there is, sorry. (Source: already asked.)

You can ignore forever in the latest version.
If the profile is hidden you can do it via /my/preferences/users.
You can enable the “Enable defer to mark topics unread” feature for that at /my/preferences/interface.
Discourse ignore is now six months, unless I am seeing a completely different UI on mobile. It has been increased over time, however. I think it started with a max of 3 months, then went to 4, and only recently went to 6. There is a certain pleasure in re-upping the ignore list every few months but fire and forget would be nice too.

What I meant is that the forever option is already available at the latest version, so next time this instance updates it will get the feature.
Oooooh @stusser please, please, please latest version?

Oh come now - can’t we re-ignite the old “I’d rather you didn’t ignore through the system, but just skipped the users posts” discussion instead? :-D
Ignore now has a ‘forever’ option but none of the options actually seem to work now :/
I just upgraded again, if it’s still broken I suggest posting a bug report on the meta forums.
Works now - probably user error.
I just want to know who he’s blocking.
That was weird, why was this thread bumped to the top when it’s been 19 hours since Stusser’s last post?
