I don’t know if we’ve already discussed this, but I’m confused about rule Q9. It says you can sell black cards at a promoted bernal with a dirtside. But in the next paragraph it says “If you sell to your own bernal (including at its start location)”. A bernal in its start location doesn’t have a dirtside, so according to the previous paragraph that’s not legal. Futhermore, the third paragraph goes on to say you can’t sell any card of the same spectral type as the bernal’s dirtsides – I’m not sure how to apply that rule if you’re allowed to sell cards at a bernal in a start orbit.

Yeah, that’s a difficult one. I’d say a promoted bernal at starting orbit is OK.

I think selling at a Bernal is equivalent to selling at LEO?

I hadn’t actually noticed the dirtside requirement, but Shimizu actually does have a potential dirtside at it’s start location. The reason why you can’t sell black cards at a Bernal with a dirt side of the same spectral class is to prevent players from rebuilding and selling the same card each turn. You can still sell them at another players Bernal, though, if he lets you.

I’ve always assumed the start location mention was for Shimizu. Also, selling at your own Bernal sends the card back to the deck; selling at another player’s it goes back to your hand.
