So I just saw that new french Musketeers movie and it really is a very solid well-made film! All the recognizable beats from the book with a few new scenes stirred in for extra flavour. Looking forwards to part 2 in December.
Definitely recommend it, though I have no clue when / how french productions like this show up in the states…
(still think everything is a bit too brown and dirty, but once you get used to it you get sucked into the narrative. Also the sound mixing is very well done!)
