Hot time, summer in the CPU

Yeah I really do love that case. Very understated elegant look and dead silent.

The top USB3 port is a bit tight. That’s my only complaint. Really gotta jiggle that sucker to whip it out (that’s what she said).

And I thought my new thumbdrive was just really thicc

You need to measure your case temperature as well.

If the case is already at 40 C then the CPU going 60 C makes sense because the air is already warm before it gets to the CPU heatsink.

My wild-ass guess is with a gaming video card and warm summers the case is already warm.

I do not recommend water cooling. It is expensive and a PITA. CPU coolers haven’t been too bad the last decade as CPUs are barely as hot as the Pentium 4 days (or lower in typical cases). It’s the video cards that have been going crazy.

You could drill a blow hole in the top of the case and add an exhaust 80mm fan. The key being you take advantage of warm air naturally rising. There’s probably hot pockets near the top of the case, and the PSU is probably the only exhaust fan you have going.

The problem is drilling is a PITA because you’ll basically have to take the PC apart so you don’t get bits of metal on the motherboard.
