How Business Training Videos Are a Lot Like Porn

Does anyone else have to do company-wide ethics training?

At my company we do. It’s typically video of people suddenly thrust into compromising business situations. It’s all so incredibly scripted, it feels a lot like porn. It’s also very boring and takes an hour or more to complete. I think the people who make these shorts realize these problems. Participation is tracked. And they now include questions in the middle of the video, so you can’t just play it and go get coffee.

I find myself coming up with alternative scripts that usually involve all the actors stripping off their clothes and having an orgy in confrence room. Participation in an orgy is not one of the ethical issue they’re testing for, so I will probably never see that particular video or have to answer any true/false questions, like Should you bonk your boss, if you all have to work late, she’s kinda cute, and there is a confrence room available?

And when the business training videos are late to be returned, the video store guy should lie to your wife and not tell her what they are?

That’s some hardcore lurking you’ve been doing there, Bastard.

Your clearly a Lazy Shiftless Bastard, but I like your style.

Thank you negative Alan. After reading that Dilbert, I now feel less alone in the world.

I have been waiting a whole month for a chance to post this:

For the record, Dirt was watching Tom Chick’s ass getting beaten at Lost Cities by RSofaer. That expression’s great though.

That should be, “Ceiling Dirt is Watching you masturbate (And he looks amused).”
