How many fans do you really need for a PC?

My system has one of those closed CPU coolers that vents out of the case. Sort of a liquid cooler that doesn’t need refilling. And two large fans on the top of the case. One big sucker on the side. And another on the back and another on the front near the hard drive enclosures.

And one, believe it or not on the bottom that is an exhaust fan.

My case is so cool that I can’t remember the sizes of the fans.

Just remember to put some kind of microfiber or something over the intakes.

Shit, now that I think about it, I could overclock this sucker. Except that is runs just great the way it is.

Let’s face it. Once you can run any game at 75 FPS you don’t need to fuck with your CPU or the clock settings.

OTOH, if you do, more fans are better.

I’m shitfaced so don’t be nasty. okay?

Every case on the first page and even the last page have a fan.

Hell, the cheap-ass $30 case I got from newegg when I built my pc came with both a 120mm and a 140mm fan preinstalled.

Well, I’ve never seen that. Must be an American thing, or else they started preinstalling fans only recently.

Nope they have been doing it for years. None of those cases on newegg are American specific either.

Most have fairly well-known brand names and are full of gamer bling like transparent sides and stuff. I just buy grey or black metal boxes without a brand name. Newegg apparently doesn’t even have those.

Ok well yeah this one doesn’t have a fan.
