How much Activision does it take to change a Blizzard?

Other than being banned, why would anyone create more than one account? Is there some currency to farm and resell for real money or something?

Even if there isn’t, you sell the whole account.

Is that a sizable market? I guess even a small proportion of a billion people would mean a lot of money.

The mobile version is huge in Asia and they do have billions of people who have phones but not PCs (or terrible PCs).

So it makes complete sense.

That wiki link mixes a lot of numbers. Some are total accounts, total players, monthly active users, active subscriptions, etc.

This. This is not great data if you are looking to rank games. There are also at least two MASSIVE games from China that aren’t anywhere on the list.

Strikes reportedly are having real impact on COD Warzone, Activision’s cash cow. The game makes five million dollars per day– and bugs aren’t being fixed.

Ah, but how much Microsoft does it take to change an Activision-Blizzard?

…huh.

Didn’t see this one coming.

Oh shit. Now, that’s how you do a megaton.

WoW! Totally unexpected announcement.

Talking about the acquisition here:

Whoa, WTF.

Whoa. Whooooooa. Whooooooooooooooahhht!!!

Holy. Shit. The mothership isn’t fucking around, is it?

Lots of women in that Xbox leadership graphic. Blizzard is going to have to tread lightly with its shitty harassment culture.

LOL John Carmack

To explain it, from what I know, he really doesn’t play games that much (a few Nintendo games with the kids), nor follows the industry, so probably he doesn’t know a lot from the how Bobby Kotick doesn’t happen to be very popular, at all.
