How to get iPhone camera to show metallic glint?

I have some Monarch chrysalis that are quite beautiful. I’m taking pics, but every picture looks dull. Each chrysalis has 2 lines of tiny metallic looking beads that sparkle in the light. But for some reason my iPhone 8 won’t pick them up at all so the pictures look lame. What can I do to have the pictures I take match what my eyeballs are seeing?

Might you use a third party app to enhance certain aspects in photos? Such as Dynamic Light? Or Lightroom CC?

Lens flare will make it visually stunning

Flash. You need some bright light to reflect off of them. Which of course will ruin the rest of the shot. Probably near impossible without professional lighting.

I doubt a flashlight/torch would be near enough light. Maybe direct sun at sunrise/sunset?

Awesome idea. Never thought about proper back lighting or side lighting. Will give that a try hopefully tonight.
