They’ve been pushing releases into the Trove mid-month for a little while now, instead of when the bundle drops.
For what’s worth, al least you can play with bots in CODBLOPS4.
Treyarch’s bots and AI have been consistently great across titles for the average player. I play with them all the time.
As an addicted Cod Blops4 player working on prestige 3, this game is great. The increased time to kill, manual healing and specialist classes have really changed up the formula. The game both rewards skilled play, and allows new players to compete.
The increased TTK has made the game more skill dependent, as it takes more shots to kill, requiring better aiming skill, but the specialist abilities allow lower skill level players to feel like they are contributing.
That being said, this is a pause for me as well. Already own the game and DLC pass. The fact that this is the zombies mode-less version is insulting.
They are also selling a 50 dollar pass that gets you the DLC maps for multiplayer. So, getting in on this will require an additional purchase to get all the maps. Good deal for 12 bucks, but this game has some incredible monetization problems.
Weapons for previous operations are locked in loot boxes, you get 3 or so a day playing normally. The loot pool has duplicates, and includes over 1000 items. Making it very hard for you to get good loot.
This is not a F2P game, but it is monetized like one.
TLDR:
Excellent game ruined by astonshingly greedy monetization.

Is there a way to pay to update the humble edition to the full battle pass for less than retail? I thought that was one of the humble perks…
After the last few months I realised that pausing had become the default so I’ve just unsubscribed again. Occasionally I forget about these things and end up with another month, especially if I’m away for work, but I think I’d actively pay to avoid having CODBLOPSIIII in my library. Wake me up if anything interesting happens.
Not sure if it’s just me, but I’ve actually found the additions to the Trove a lot more interesting than the main bundle in recent months.

First month I’m really, truly tempted to pause. I kept hoping for some extra reveal to make it worthwhile. Nope. Literally every monthly has had games on my wishlist, but the headliner has zero appeal for me whatsoever.
Paused it last week. Zero interest in codblops, and not gonna take a gamble on the rest of the bundle.

I’ve subscribed to every single Humble Monthly so far, and it’s generally excellent value for money. But what a lousy headliner this month.

One of the things I like most about Humble Bundle is it brings games I would never buy on my own. COLDBLOMPS is one of those. I read somewhere that it had a following, so maybe it will be good!
