Poop tastes terrible and you should never eat it.
Later that night at the Rubin house:
“What did you do today, honey?”
“I promoted coprophagia, in a roundabout way. You?”
Guys, STOP, I’m in stiches here!
This is why I love this forum.
Curses, foiled by my own immutable logic!

I paused this month (just do it when you receive the email and you don’t have to worry the rest of the month), but on Classic, can you choose to redeem just a few games and not all ten?
Just wondering if the rejected games then get a slice of your contribution or if it all goes to the chosen few games, and if it’s better to choose ten in order to spread it around?
If you’re on Classic I assume you’ll get all 10, even if you don’t claim them.
Yup. Games have to be redeemed individually, so you can skip some and just leave unredeemed “credits” sitting there. I, too, would be very curious if Humble takes that into consideration in any way. I kind of like the idea of at least telling them “these games are so uninteresting to me that I can’t even be bothered to claim them for free.” In the current batch, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Desert Child fall squarely into that category for me.
There’s absolutely no evidence of that in the interface.
You get the option to claim or give away keys for 10 games if you have Classic but they show up under your account a bit differently. Before the change from Monthly to Choice, the names of all the games in a bundle would show up willy-nilly under “keys” in your account whether you’d redeemed them, given them away or left them in limbo. Now any “in limbo” keys are under one button bearing the name of the Choice/Classic bundle in question, and telling you the number of choices left. In my case the “choices left” is 5.
One perk I don’t see mentioned here much is being able to share the 20% discount with one friend for 1 month.
Does anyone ever bother with that?
More so if anyone here (established forum members, no newbies) wants me to share it for a month, send me a PM.
This is a minor complaint, but in the past I could look at a bundle and click on the game to see more about it. Now with Choice it shows the games but they are not clickable for more info. Am I missing something?
I chose not to go with Humble Classic. I do wish the “Basic” option wasn’t $15/month for choosing 3 games. I like the idea of having a basic plan where you pick 3 games, but that option should have been cheaper than the old plan of $12/month. Basic at $10 would have been great, for example. Then for the months where I want to get 3 games, I could say, “well, I don’t have the classic plan, but I got 3 games I really wanted from the 10, and I got to save 2 bucks too”.
Instead, it’s MORE expensive. So if I ever do get the basic any particular month, I can tell myself. “Well, at least I don’t have to pause every month, that’s worth $3, and I got the 3 games I wanted”.
Yeah, I can’t imagine a month where there would be more than three games I’d really care about - even if it was the same price as classic I’d probably go that route. Then again, they’re trying to incentivize their hostage situation, so I guess that explains it.
Are you on desktop or on your phone? I can see them on both without having to commit, so to speak.
Go to your account, hit the keys tab, sort by most recent, where you should see an item that reads December 2019 Humble Choice. It should tell you how many choices you have left (aka games you haven’t revealed keys or sent gift links for)… Click on the “make my choices” button and it shows you the 10 games from the bundle. The ones you’ve already decided on have a check mark. Just click on a game tile and it takes you to a version of the product page with description, screenies etc.
At least it does for me. There you have two buttons that say “get game” (basically just reveals the key) and one called “gift to friend” that I assume provides a gift link.
I’m sorry. I wasn’t clear. I am not a subscriber. When Humble displayed older bundles you could click on a game to read more about it. Now I see the reveals for the new Choice bundle but there’s no quick way for me to read more about the games, which would help me decide if I wanted to subscribe. I know – it’s easy enough to google each title. Just a minor inconvienence.
Oh, got it. I thought you’d already gotten them and wanted to figure out what to claim etc.
Yeah, doing the other thing is kind of a pain.
Yeah, they should definitely fix that. Otherwise people will always pick the three most famous big games if they’re getting the Basic bundle, for instance. It was nice being able to click on a game and seeing more about it. Sometimes I clicked on accident and discovered “hey, that looks amazing”.
You guys are talking as if you didn’t have to be a subscriber to Humble Choice… is that the case?

You don’t, if you remember to pause every month. That is the obvious way to go.
I’m not sure. I’m not a subscriber. Does that mean I can’t sub and get this month’s Choice bundle?
