It is pretty fun. I’ve got over 2 minutes in it. I feel like I’ve seen what I need to see from it though.

Dayum. Got pretty tough to achieve any of the goals pretty quick for me.

It’s a marvelous, zen kind of thing. I played it for 20+ hours myself - wish there were more unlocks. The variety of stuff that gets introduced in the higher stages is pretty great.

I can’t recall how far I made it, maybe stage 8. I don’t think I hit 9 - but yeah, those levels can get pretty crazy. I still fire it up once in a while.

My screenshots document up through 12 or so - can’t recall if I ever got further. The caterpillars are particularly fun.

Reminder to pause monthly choice. Charges tomorrow.

Check the store first for the extra discount on winter sale stuff.

My active subscription says the next billing date is January 31st, 2020. I also haven’t been charged anything since December 6th (for the current bundle). Seems like they’re skipping a month? Maybe because they switched over to the new plan in early December, so this first bundle will last through the end of January?

No, they’ll probably introduce the next bundle on January 3rd, at which point you can decide to pay early, pause or whatever. If you were charged on December 6th it wasn’t an auto-charge-- that would have happened last Friday of November but for the bundle with Kiwami and all that, right?

Ah, maybe that’s it. The charge today would be for anyone who was “subscribed” to the new Choice Bundle but had not yet elected to pay for it manually. I must have done that on December 6th when the bundle went live so I could access the games right away.

So the next Humble Choice Bundle will go live on January 3rd, but you have until the 31st to choose to pause or pay. It’s the opposite of the way the old Monthly worked I guess, where you paid in advance before the reveal. Now you pay after the reveal.

That’s one way to look at it. They basically just got rid of the second reveal and show everything with the first reveal. The timing on payment and the start of each bundle/choice is the same.

I don’t intend on redeeming my keys for the following games, so if anyone wants one of them please let me know and I’ll gift it to you.

Blasphemous - looks like this one is already going to a good home
Ancestors Legacy - claimed
X-Morph: Defense - also claimed
Aegis Defenders - it’s over!

Happy Holidays!

January Choice Games:

That’s really an excellent bundle, but I already have just about everything in it that I want (Shadow of War, Dirt Rally 2, Grip) so I guess it’s time to pause.

Also: Whither Void Bastards, dammit!

If anyone wants dirt rally 2.0 then I have a spare.

It’s a pause for me. Nothing there that I don’t already have that I’m interested in.

It’s such a terrible page. I just went there. You’d think if I was to pick three of those for $15, I’d want to click on them and find out more about them, but I guess that’s an option for only those people who are already subscribers maybe?

Yep, also think I am pausing this time, only thing that I don’t own and want would be Whispers of a Machine.

Thanks again @wavey

So if I pause now do I lose my preferred status?

I unpaused again. Wanted the Middle Earth game and Whispers of a Machine was on my wishlist too.

One note, there are twelve possible choices this month, not 10. So you can’t get them all, even with a classic plan.

@Kadath: You can keep pausing forever. Just need to remember to do it every month.

I’ve never heard of Whispers of a Machine, but you guys got me curious. I can’t click on anything on the Humble page, but google gave me this description.

Whispers of a Machine is a Sci-Fi Nordic Noir that tells the story of Vera, a cybernetically augmented detective in a post-AI world, who investigates a string of murders and unravels a dark conflict over forbidden technology.

Wow, what a crackling concept. I’ll have to look that up when I get home, see how they tried to implement it.
